starts slow then picks up to the end
solid book definitely more of a Bridger than a full unique story. starts slow and picks up towards the end to tie into the next book

The Witcher story continues in its awesome way!
The book should have, in some parts, made me feel like I was listening to a plain story about people just avoiding the real story but as always Sapkowski never fails to make it awesome.
The way the story is put together which depth, feeling and some funny comments make you feel like you are part of it. It is depth like this that makes it so great to read.
I cannot wait to start on the next one!

Very solid
All the elements that make the Witcher series a pleasurable read are here: Great writing style, great characters, humour, structural diversity. But so are the negatives; overly long dialogues that could have easily been edited to feel less like a theatrical drama. What saves it is that the author’s level of literacy and attention to detail, and dedication to realism, somewhat mitigate the lack of focus on the main characters and storyline. The introduction of the hilarious vampire character in the second half of the novel manages to inject new energy in a story that starts to feel constrained and weighed down by too much dialogue, as well written as it is.

Keeps your interest
Started this series a couple of years ago, when it came out as a TV series. It fell by the way side when I was reading other genres. Came back to it a few months ago and wasn't disappointed. I'm not usually a great fan of "Sword and sorcery" and much prefer hard Sci Fi, but make an exception for this. Well written, great characters and a very wide story arc. Great stuff.

Entertaining and a good listen
Narrator does a good job at bring the characters personality across though his voice and the story covers alot of my favourite people, can't wait to listen to the next one
