In A Vow of Glory, Thor embarks with his Legion friends on an epic quest into the vast wilds of the Empire to try to find the ancient Destiny Sword and save the Ring. Thor's friendships deepen, as they journey to new places, face unexpected monsters and fight side by side in unimaginable battle. They encounter exotic lands, creatures, and peoples beyond which they could have ever imagined, each step of their journey fraught with increasing danger. They will have to summon all their skills if they are to survive as they follow the trail of the thieves, deeper and deeper into the Empire. Their quest will bring them all the way into the heart of the Underworld, one of the seven realms of hell, where the undead rule and fields are lined with bones. As Thor must summon his powers, more than ever, he struggles to understand the nature of who he is.
Back in the Ring, Gwendolyn must lead half of King's Court to the Western stronghold of Silesia, an ancient city perched on the edge of the Canyon that has stood for 1,000 years. Silesia's fortifications have allowed it to survive every attack throughout every century - but it has never been faced with an assault by a leader like Andronicus, by an army like his million men. Gwendolyn learns what it means to be queen as she takes on a leadership role, Srog, Kolk, Brom, Steffen, Kendrick, and Godfrey by her side, preparing to defend the city for the massive war to come.
Meanwhile, Gareth is descending deeper into madness, trying to fend off a coup that would have him assassinated in King's Court, while Erec fights for his life to save his love, Alistair and the Duke's city of Savaria as the downed shield enables the wild creatures to invade. And Godfrey, wallowing in drink, will have to decide if he is ready to cast off his past and become the man his family expects him to be.

"The Sorcerer's Ring has all the ingredients for an instant success: plots, counterplots, mystery, valiant knights, and blossoming relationships replete with broken hearts, deception and betrayal. It will keep you entertained for hours, and will satisfy all ages. Recommended for the permanent library of all fantasy readers." (Books and Movie Reviews, Roberto Mattos)
Alison felt overwhelmed with the desire to give the author a thesaurus, as she could not believe how many times the same words and phrases were used. She could only hope beyond hope that the clichés would stop. But the pull of the world, and the characters was stronger than anything she had ever felt before, and so she reads on.....
Yet another great book in this series. Highly recommend, but you really need to start at book one in the series to be able to follow the story.
Can't wait to find out what is in store for the characters in the next book
"Riveting! Many twists. Best narrator I"ve heard!"
I can't stop listening. many players w/their own quests but all for one goal! holding-my-breath!
while I was first introduced to this series I was intrigued by its characters. but five books in the characters have turned flat and predictable. while I'm interested in the outcome, not so much to continue with series
"Great narrator and great story."
I've been hooked on this series for a minute now. Looking forward to the outcomes of the characters in the next book . Hopefully Thor won't be so gullible.
Great story great reader. looking forward to next book in series. Love this story line.
"Have Morgan Rice a second try; won't be a third."
Author needs a good editor to scrub out all the verbosity and redundancy, as well as to correct misused words. A good course in creative writing with emphasis on syntax could do wonders. I could enjoy the story if it were not tediously written and I wasn't constantly tripping over sentence structure and fractured vocabulary. Again, I am thinking the author is a talented 15-yeaf old who needs guidance.
I find these books to be an entertaining read. Even though the books go on for quite a bit, the author has managed unique twists and turns. I will say that I seem to have noticed more grammatical and spelling errors in this book than the others, but can overlook that for a good read.
"I expect this is the last I read in the series."
This series has turned in to a mediocre romp through an generic world with stereotypical characters. Everything that has happened in the last few books has been completely predictable. The character sometimes follow their stereotypes so closely that it adds a touch of unintentional humor.
Evil king is evil. Both of them. Thor's friends blindly follow him anywhere he goes. EVERYONE dies from throat related injuries. Honestly, is that the only place people in this world aim? You could turn it in to a drinking game.
Poor Eric has to deal with the worst people ever born. How many times does a girl need to be sold to inform us he loves her? And why do 3 weeks pass in his life while a year has passed for everyone else?
This isn't a bad series, not by any means. It's just not good. Wayne Farrell does a good job though.
Love this series absolutely magnificent ended on a serious cliffhanger cant wait for the next one
"Worst books ever"
I'm rooting for the bad guys. They're the only ones that have any brains. How many time can this kid be "shocked" that he can do magic.
"Awful. So sorry I wasted any time on this book"
One of the worst books ever if you want to read about really stupid people who die then this is the book for you
"Must read what has gone before"
`OKay, this series has gripped me and the narration is class A. Morgan Rice is captivating with his imagination while I maintain there is some skipping around. Saddly, Audible have only provided just over half of this series which unlike sighted people I am unable to purchase the missing printed remai Thus far, while being gritty Morgan Rice has tastefully left less favourable scenes to one's imagination. This does not detract at all from a thrilling read.nder.
