Before Tyrion Lannister and Podrick Payne, there were Dunk and Egg. A young, naïve but courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals - in stature if not experience.
Tagging along with him is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg - whose true identity must be hidden from all he and Dunk encounter: for in reality he is Aegon Targaryen, and one day he will be king. Improbable heroes though they be, great destinies lie ahead for Dunk and Egg, as do powerful foes, royal intrigue and outrageous exploits.

Great Intro to Game of Thrones
I enjoyed the stories, narration and George's writing style. If you are hesitant to start his lengthy novel series, try these collection of three novellas first.

Beautiful crash course history of the Targeryens
They picked a good narrator to start with and the story itself was easy to follow. The characters were nicely built and the story was just really good. A sequel would be nice to continue Dunk and Egg's adventure!

good story with even better voicing
Although the many names and houses may be off putting in the beginning, the story soon speeds up and captures the reader full attention at the end of the first half of the first tale. by the end of the book, the reader will surely grow fond of Ser Duncan the Tall and cheeky Egg. The narrator makes an outstanding job with the voicing.

so much potential but little depth
the book starts of great but it's important to know in advance this is a small 3 part mini series than a full book.
at times the performance is a bit too comical and makes it hard to get behind the characters.
it also lacks any serious character progression , it was enjoyable enough as a short story though

Similar style to Song of Ice and Fire
I enjoyed the story, felt like I was back in Westeros after waiting for and not having a new book to read. It felt like this book ended a bit abruptly though.

A Knight To Remember!
I honestly enjoyed this more then Game of Thrones. It has the rich, complex world with interesting and loveable characters and an engaging narrative. I enjoyed the audiobook version read by Harry Lloyd (who plays Viserys Targaryen)! He embodies the characters and really brought them to life. His voices were consistent and fitting with the character's stations and backgrounds. I can't wait for more of these stories and I hope Harry Lloyd continues his narration of all Westeros novels!
