Victory Over the Darkness emphasizes the importance of believing and internalizing the cardinal truths of Scripture as a base from which to renew the mind and fend off Satan's relentless attempt to convince us that we are less than Christ empowers us to be.

I really enjoyed this book. Narrative was good, he speaks a little quick at times but with the 30 sec rewind I could go back as many times as I needed. Listened to it twice. Eye opening. Life changing. Highly recommend!
The content of this audio book was excellent. Very helpful to me as I seek to live in Christ and grow spiritually.
The author/narrator speKs a bit too fast but is clearly enthusiastic.
"Steps to freedom!"
This book is a wonderful book introducing the Steps to Freedom in Christ. Neil Anderson narrated his own book so you definately know what the author was expressing during the writings. I recommend this book to anyone struggling with circumstances and life in general. This book will explain why and how these feelings rise in someone and how to regain the peace and faith in God.
"Helped me know who I truly am"
I've listened twice and I expect to listen a few more times shortly. Why? Well, something in the telling of it really brought home that I don't need to try to be what I already am: God's child. Hallelujah!
the best tagline for this book: For God's Children: Stop trying to be what you already are
"Glad to have read this book"
I read the paperback first but my sister was have trouble making time to read the book. So we got this audio download. Loved it. It followed the book closely and I did not feel like there was much skipped from the book in the audio though it is listed as abridged.
Enjoyed hearing Truth. Made my heart sing.
Neil read it in a conversational tone. That made it easy to listen to, even in one seating.
"Who are you?"
I have this book in paperback, so this audio is a review for me. It was comforting and renewing to internalize again. In a conversational tone, (with a few chuckles along the way), Dr. Anderson reminds you WHO YOU ARE in Christ, which enables you to "fight the good fight". It's like having him sitting in your living room with you or having a cup of coffee with him at your dining room table. I recommend it to all Christians. After reading this book the first time, I had an online conversation with a sister who obviously had not heard these things at her church. In the course of the conversation, she commented, "well who do you think I am, some princess, or something?" My answer was, "not in and of yourself, but by virtue of who you are in Christ, yes, you are a princess". Some of the chapter titles: "Who are you?" "Forever different" "See Yourself for Who You Really Are" "Something Old, Something New" "Becoming the Spiritual Person You Want to Be" "The Power of Positive Believing" "You Can't Live Beyond What You Believe" "Winning the Battle for Your Mind" "Healing Emotional Wounds from Your Past".
This is not a book on spiritual warfare, per se, but if it interests you, he has written "The Bondage Breaker" and "The Beginner's Guide to Spiritual Warfare", among others.
truth was presented in a way that my heart could accept it. if you really want to change and grow...listen to it. if you don't want to change and grow, you will hate the book.
"A must read for every believer"
Truth sets us free, and this book is full of biblical truth that we need to be reminded of or learn for the first time. I highly recommend this book for everyone.
"Truth does set free"
Neil Anderson makes the reality of the spiritual war every believer faces less mysterious. He provides the scriptural steps for victory no matter the circumstances.
First part theory, 2nd half applied and great value. Tells you how to apply theory to win.
"why don't we all know who we are in Christ?"
I wish I would have known this 10 years ago. it would have changed everything. doesn't matter. now I do. I am a child of God. Who cares what the devil thinks. Emancipated.
"Good Christian book on mental warfare."
Good book on applying Gods word to fight sin, condemnation, lies, evil traumas, natrual traumas, basiclly how to fight the spiritual battle with the word of God that is mention on the book of Ephesians. It needs to be more detail and more specific on the technics.
"A must listen to every christian."
I was surprised by the simplicity and clarity of this book. I would absolute recomend to read to every christian that would like to improve his inner life with God and people.
"A must read / listen for anyone."
Just read it or listen, you choose. Its a great book with real wisdom and practical guidance.
"some good points"
some good points he made in this book. I would recommend alongside other books .
Will read it a few times. Helps us understand what life is about and how best to live it.
