Comments: Narrator was very soothing, his tones varied as required. This overcame my concentration issues,

"BOOK AND CHAPTER HEADINGS NEEDED!!!"
Alexander Scourby's edition without music back ground is the PERFECT Bible audio file but it seems it is not being offered anywhere that I can find. This edition is very well done in every respect except that it lacks the book and or Chapter divisions making it nearly impossible to navigate.
no but he is an exceptional reader.
This is an incredible recording SOMEONE NEEDS to take the time to make the BOOK and CHAPTER devisions so that it can be navigated easily. It was already done with the Alexander Scourby edition many years ago, I'm pretty sure with todays technology it can easily be done again. I explored buying the books individually but they read as one large file with no chapter divisions, SO frustrating. Really hope someone will fix this problem. I would line up to buy it. Thanks
"no way to navigate"
This audiobook downloads as ten files with no way to visually distinguish what is covered in each file and all have the same graphic. I didn't expect there to be any intuitive way to navigate an audio book, but surely they could appropriately label each file? Whoever orginized this download clearly does not read the bible or they would know what incredible inconvenience this causes. Something as simple as making each graphic a little different (e.g. Gen-Lev, Num-Jud,) would be adequate. As it is, there's no way to tell which section of the book you're opening. I cannot believe I had to give a bad review, one star rating and return the bible of all things. Very poorly executed, audible, and an insult.
There is no comparison
His performance is excellent
Anger due to the format in which it is presented, zero navigation.
I'm speechless at this point, am returning the book
This was a great way for me to wind down after work and spend time in the word.
"Filled with the word of God on my daily commute!"
Wish it had the book & chapter, but other wise it was perfect. sometimes I wish I had a longer commute.😃
"The best of the audio Bibles"
So far, this is the best of the audio Bibles I have listened to. Most bibles are either way too dramatic, or very dry and boring. This is in the middle. Not over the top, but not monotone either. It is very clear and understandable, and has a nice pace. Not to fast. The narrator does an incredible job.
This is the most popular and well known, the King James. I have enjoyed listening so far.
the gospels of course.
"The listener should be able to navigate each book"
Yes, book navigation is difficult. Listener should be able to move from one book of the bible to the other with ease.
The entire Bible.
The narrator did well with his pacing and tone.
Yes, the menu and navigation needs to be updated.
Overall, this was a good purchase but The Bible is not easy to navigate.
The listener should be able to navigate each book of the bible.
The audiobook is divided into sections, however, the sections do not start at the beginning of each book of the bible.
The chapter titles should correspond with the books in the bible instead of being numbered (for example: Matthew, Mark, Luke & John, instead of 1,2,3 & 4).
The narrator did well with his pacing and tone.
yes! Very worthwhile as is every Bible.
What difference does this make?
Some of these questions are inane to the Bible. This particular audio book, being the "Bible", is difficult to navigate on the Audible site. A person needs to be able to swing back and forth from one chapter to another and verse to verse in almost every instance, instead of having to search the over one thousand chapters to make a reference. I have never had occasion to read the Bible when I didn't need to do just that to properly understand the Word.
"Everybody should read the Bible once in their life"
Very well read and spoken clearly. Broken down into a lot of books but makes it possibke to navigate back and forth between chapters.
His voice / pace is great. I like that I can listen at 1.5x speed so I can hear more Bible.
Only negative is there are no chapter titles (e.g., Luke, Acts). I still HIGHLY recommend though.
"Downloaded in sections"
The book downloaded in sections which aren't numbered - making it difficult to find the next section. Very disappointed.
