Publisher's Summary

In the classic best seller, Introduction to Tantra, Lama Yeshe offered a profound and wonderfully clear glimpse into the sophisticated practices of Tibetan Buddhist tantra. This present book, the last major teachings of this great lama, opens up the world of advanced practices for Highest Yoga Tantra initiates in much the same way his earlier work opened up the world of tantra in general.

Following Je Tsongkhapa's (1357-1419 C.E.) text Having the Three Convictions, Lama Yeshe introduces the renowned Six Yogas of Naropa, focusing mainly on the first of these six, the practice of inner fire (tummo). Mastery of inner fire quickly brings the mind to its most refined and penetrating state - the experience of clear light, an extra-ordinarily powerful state of mind that is unequaled in its ability to directly realize ultimate reality.

Lama Yeshe felt that 20th-century Westerners could easily grasp the often misunderstood ideas of this esoteric tradition: "We really need tantra these days because there is a tremendous explosion of delusion and distraction - and we need the atomic energy of inner fire to blast us out of our delusion."

Lama Yeshe's aim was for his students to actually taste the experience of inner fire rather than merely gain an intellectual understanding. Lama's own realization of the transformative power of these practices comes through, inspiring his students to discover for themselves their own capacity for inexhaustible bliss.

I understand this to be Hatha Yoga

In my opinion the author has given an exellent account of a quickening method for inner fire for achieving fast results. This is like building a Tower, with leaps and bounds. Its better to allow one self to grow slowly like a tree. Towers are man made and therefore lack life force, an artificial erection of dead bricks and mortar. You do reach the heights but will eventually fall. It cannot last since it lacks a life of its own. it lacks the real life. The tree on the other hand is not built with imagination, visualisation, science or exercise. It grows out of the seed, the blueprint. You are that seed that blueprint. You are allready that wich you will grow into. simply nurture yourself, water yourself, allow the natural inner fire, avoid artificial fertilizer that quickens and ruins natural growth as it will make you quickly wither . Be like a living tree and not like a dead tower. There are other methods that gently nurture your seed with effective continuity throughout your entire life. Allowing you to grow strong slowly and permanently. There is no short cut and no escape. Just be who you truly are. In the right hands, if you have wisdom and patience, this book can be very useful and very effective. In the wrong hands, very dangerous. Handle it with great care, gain wisdom and understanding first. Grow slowly like a tree. Be sure to listen carefully to the last few chapters of this book, for greater clarity. For most people I raccomend Sadhguru or Mooji in order to be on the wisdom path first. Bliss without wisdom can spell disaster. I thank the author for sharing these perls .
