Told it was impossible to minister behind the Iron Curtain, Andrew knew that nothing was too hard for God. "Lord," he prayed, "in my luggage I have Scripture I want to take to Your children. When You were on earth, You made blind eyes see. Now, I pray, make seeing eyes blind. Do not let the guards see those things You do not want them to see." And they never did.

"Robert Whitfield does a splendid job reading this 'adventure.' His soft English accent brings out much of the author's humility, and wonder, in this journey." (AudioFile)
"Tension builds page by page in this remarkable true document...more thrilling than a spy story with its numerous near escapes and mounting climaxes of danger." (Los Angeles Times)

This well-told bio adventure is definitely worth the listen. Fascinating insight into WWII, the rise of Communism, and the amazing lengths God goes to for His children.
Great book! Really enjoyed this, talks about faith and what it can do to change your many lives for the better.
"God is still in control!"
God provided abundantly.
The parts I liked best about this story is that God provided through all the circumstances, He never let them down, no matter what.
I felt like I was there, in the scenes, I was caught up in it so well.
Seen by God, unseen by man
If you like adventure, if thrills are your 'thing', then read or listen to this book. It will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what God does next. Awesome!
It was great to listen to a book that depicted the awesome power of God.We know that he can make the blind eyes see but he can make the seeing eyes blind enabling His Word to get through to those that need it..Our God is an awesome God.
"Fantastic Biography of a Ministry"
I wasn't disappointed when I took a chance on this one (Amazon reviewers really seemed to liked it). Although mine was read by Simon Vance (extraordinary British reader). A must hear along with G.K. Chesterton's biography of St. Francis of Assisi.
"Amazing book about God's guiding and capable care"
Awesome Story. Great narration. Builds your faith at every step. I Highly recommend. MIGHTY GOD!!!!!!!
Bro. Andrew is an adventurous Dutchman with a witty sense of humor. He gives his heart & life to Jesus. God uses Bro. Andrew throughout the world. This is truly an amazing book! On audio, Robert Whitfield does an excellent job narrating all the different voices of coutrymen around the world. I personally turned down the speed..thanks to Audible's latest changes. This book reads like fiction & kept me on the edge of my seat! I loved reading this book in high school & love it more now that it's on audio. I was unable to finish in 1 sitting..not because I didn't want to..I couldn't wait to get back to it & find out what would happen next! Out of over 300 audios, I'll be listening to this one again & again :)
"Miracles still happen"
This book is an encouragement to all who try to remain faithful in difficult circumstances. This man "laid down his life" to bring God's Word to people around the world.
"I loved this classic again."
This classic witness of God's intervention and protection in smuggling Bibles to suppressed nations was encouraging and faith building all over again.
"How refreshing!!! Loved his humor, his love for God , God's word, his faith, his courage, his travels in communist countries..."
Loving Jesus and God's word--this is a trip back in time to the 50's and 60's-- when God's word was so cherished--- Christians in other countries and languages so needed to have a Bible--Andy (brother Andrew) was mightily used by God!
