Are you sometimes perplexed with Jesus' teaching? Do you really want what he wants? Best-selling author Kyle Idleman reveals that the key to the abundant life Jesus promised lies in embracing his inside-out way of life. As he examines Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, Kyle unpacks the many counterintuitive truths, including: brokenness is the way to wholeness, mourning is the path to blessing, and emptiness is required in order to know true fullness. Ultimately you will discover how Jesus transforms you as you begin to live out these paradoxical principles. Because only when you come to the end of yourself can you begin to experience the full, blessed, and whole life Jesus offers.

"Steps to a better life in Jesus"
This book inspires you to live life through Jesus Christ. They only life worth living!
"My best starts...at the end of me"
Enjoyed this a lot. Very good reader and so much to think about. Challenging and thoughtful.
"I learned a lot"
It wasn't philosophical which is why I liked it so much. Its for you and me, it's written in the perspective of one person counseling another. It spoke a lot of truth. Really Good!
"Disappointing, especially after "Not a Fan""
I was disappointed that Kyle Idleman didn't narrate this himself. This is not a personal bash against the narrator at all, but he just kind of recorded it like a robot. When I am listening to a book like this, one that comes from someone's personal experiences and heart, then I want to hear them accentuate the words and the feeling they have behind those words. It was dry and made it hard to really grasp the heart of the message as a result.
In just an honest comparison, this is not good. I feel bad saying that about a Christian book, but I feel the need to be honest. It doesn't compare, and I really feel its not the content of the story but the fact that it wasn't narrated by him.
If Kyle had done it himself.
