    "Worth Your Time!"

Enjoyed this book a great deal. As usual Jack's way of examining and explaining the 'middle way' is easy to understand and digest. An interesting perspective of many years practice. Would suggest this to anyone interested in words of honest lived wisdom.

"I don't know what to say."

    So professional. Extremely relevant.

The insight on adult and children's perspectives is worth the price of admission, alone.

The detailed accounts of the spiritual retreats is also helpful for mediating on purpose beyond observing awareness.

You are gonna get tools for myriad of psychological constructs.

If you are considering picking this up. Do it. What's fifteen dollars, anyways?

    "Perfection. Sheer audible/literary Perfection."

The content of this book will change the life of anyone who really hears it, who truly "reads" it.
The content of this book is only matched with the glorious sound of its main narrator: Edoardo Ballerini. Undoubtedly the most profound book I've ever come across, & certainly the most influential, 2nd only to the Holy Bible, from which I believe. However, the Dharma, as you'll learn, can be lived, & breathed, & practiced in all of us, through all of us. Upon completing this work, I immediately began listening to it again.
Simply beautiful. What are you holding on to?

History and Tradition of the various paths towards Enlightenment/Nirvana. The author's specialty is teaching to Americans without the religion parts Buddhism.

    "Soporific"
What would have made Bringing Home the Dharma better?

More life, more fire. Buddhism makes your mind turn upside down, it is like a revolution of common sense notions. They do no seem to convey the wonder . Perhaps is the soft preaching.

What could Jack Kornfield and Daniel J. Siegel, MD (foreword) have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Buddhism seems to be reduced to ethics. What a contrast to Karen Armstrong work!

Would you listen to another book narrated by Jack Kornfield and Edoardo Ballerini ?

    No

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Boredom rather.

    Any additional comments?

Buddhas teachings are wonderful and vibrantly alive. How the authors can be so boring is a mystery to me

    "Good content, cringeworthy narration"

The content is good. I really liked listening to the author's insights. I'm pretty well versed jn buddhism and meditation, but the author had a unique perspective and he's definitely made me examine "western buddhism" and what it is I'm trying to do.

The narrator was way too distracting though. What is that accent? British? Pretentious yuppie? He sounded like an actor trying to sound like an enlightened person, and the tone did not seem genuine at all. It's especially annoying to cringe at this narrator when he's talking about non-attachment and loving kindness. I felt especially guilty when I got so frustrated from this guy when the goal of this audiobook is to be mindful.
