"Such a Shame"
It is in my opinion a crime against humanity that an unabridged version of this spiritual classic is not available. This unabridged version should bring shame and disgrace upon the name of the publisher for generations to come. The work is so cut and shortened that the reader/listener looses the meat of the tale and the worth of the parable, in this author's humble opinion. Please James, bring us an unabridged version of this audiobook
If it had been like the other insights. Audio quality was poor and story line was unclear and did not track for me. There was no performance to speak of it appeared to have been recorded on the spot with little or no for thought. Very unlike the unabridged versions of the other books by Redfield.
The full version of the book recorded with some regard to the audio quality. I first listened to the 11th and 12th insights which I liked enough to buy the 10th. If I had done it the other way around, I would have misjudged Redfield's work and missed out on some excellent insights.
Anyone as long as the audio quality is good.
all of it then go back to a simple production of an unabridged reading of the actual book.
I've said too much now. This product detracts from James Redfield's work.
"Very Poor Quality Recording"
I doubt that it's the download, but this book sounds horrible. The tinny quality reverberates and echoes. Just awful. This is EXTREMELY abridged.
"Good story, bad recording"
The subject is very good, I think this is an excellent book. The recording was not as good, the quality of the recording is bad.
It will be good if Audible re-record this book keeping the good standards like other audiobooks.
"The Tenth Insight"
The Quality of this recording is very poor, and the content is like listenning to a short radio interview about the book. This is a complete waste of time and needs it be fixed. it should not be called a "concise guide" but the "Author can't be bothered guide".
I was very suprised after the great job Lou Diamond Phillips had presented with the Celestine Book.
"The Tenth Insight: Holding the Vision"
VERY POORLY RECORDED, hard to hear and understand, is very fuzzy. This is not the same as the book in my library by James Redfield. Do NOT recommedn
This book was disappointing on two fronts. First, after thoroughly enjoying The Celestine Prophecy, this book was short and not much of a story at all. It did not hold my interest. Also, the audio quality was very poor making the narrator (the author) difficult to understand. I double-checked the audio format, but that was the same (4) as all of my other downloads. I'd skip this one.
"This is NOT the Tenth Insight (2nd of the series)."
First, is not what I thought I was buying. Like the headline said, this is NOT the Tenth Insight 2nd book in the Celestine Prophecy series. I have the real Tenth Insight story on cassette. This is not it. It is the authors commentary on the story. Second, the recording sounds like he made it in his bathroom with a 1970s cassette recorder.
The recording is so poor, that it is barely understandable. What you can hear is monotone and sleep inducing.
I couldn't even finish listening to it. The poor recording quality gave me a headache.
Please change the description so that people know this is not the story but a commentary on the book.
"I should have read the reviews"
I can't believe I downloaded this without reading the reviews. The awful sound quality is outrageously bad, I could do a better recording reading into my phone. It's cut down extremely and is worthless. It's almost impossible hear the few things that are said with this. I can't believe I paid money for it. ]
"Read over the phone????"
The author narrated this, which is cool, but it sounded like he was talking over the phone. the audio quality was terrible and there were these excruciatingly loud sounds between chapters or sections.
I dont want the story changed
he is fine just get a decent recording
none of it
was this the reading of the book or just a interview with him? Im confused. Glad I didnt pay for this.
"this is not what you would expect.."
This audio recording of a interview or talk by James Redfield has very pour audio quality. It is related to the original book but adds nothing to the original, might be due to the quality of the audio. I would read the Tenth Insight, and forget about this.
How did this get past QA? The sound quality is atrocious even on Enhanced quality. This needs removing from the catalogue immediately. Nothing else to say.
"Very poor audio quality"
Very poor audio quality you may struggle to make out some of the words spoken
"Terrible recording quality and very short."
I read the paperback and loved the message. Unfortunately the recording quality of this is so poor anyone with hearing difficulties would struggle. Also is a synopsis of the story and message, not the whole book. I've given it three stars however because I think the insights are very important and very much take them to heart.
"incredibly poor audio quality"
the sound quality is terrible. lacking depth. potentially a good book. but needs to be re recorded.
