From Neil Bennion, author of Dancing Feat, comes this all-new, quick guide to Colombia.
The world's most famous demonologists, Ed and Lorraine Warren, were called in to help an average American family who were assaulted by forces too awesome, too powerful, and too dark to be stopped. It's a true story, supported by dozens of eyewitnesses - neighbors, priests, police, journalists, and researchers.
The grim slaughterhouse of odors.... The deafening pounding.... The hoofed half-man charging down the hall.... The physical attacks, a vicious strangling, failed exorcisms, the succubusm and the final terror which continued to torment the Smurls.
In this shocking, terrifying, deeply absorbing book rivaled only by The Amityville Horror, a case also investigated by the Warrens, journalist Robert Curran digs deep into the haunting of the Smurl home in West Pittston, Pennsylvania, and the unshakeable family bonds that helped them survive.

This book was extremely slow to get going, found it a hard slog to get through 2/3 of the book. Last 1/3 very good. Narrator very good.
Loved the story but wish there had been a different ending. This one will give me nightmares!
"Scary, but a little repetitive."
The book starts off fairly enjoyable and creepy. The story is paced well, and you really get to know all involved. In the last few hours though, it does start to drag some. It's the same stories and interviews over and over. Do we need to know about every night they were kept awake due to banging or saw a figure? We don't.
Again, the narration is really well done.
"Well written "
I feel bad that this family had to endure such a horrific encounter. I hope that they were finally able to obtain peace. The book was well written and kept you interested throughout the whole thing. Todd Haberkorn does such a great job narrating this book, he's one of my favorite narrators! I recommend listening to this one, these things really do happen...evil does exist and we need to be aware of it.
I have often wondered about how this family was doing. I will keep them in my prayers. Gb ~♡
One must truly suspend disbelief to enjoy this book. It is basically the narrative of one unbelievable occurrence after another, one ridiculous "demon" after another. Levitating beds, falling chandeliers, and demons having sex with the occupants. Please. The story has been largely debunked by independent investigators, as have Ed and Lorraine Warren. Don't waste your time.
"A Fan ofEd and Lorraine Warren"
I am a big fan of Ed and Lorraine Warren. I admire and have the utmost respect for what they do abd the love and care they feel for their fellow man. I hope one day I can at least be half the Demonologist they are and through Ed have gone on a he of us that I might actually meet and learn from Lorraine some day. God bless Ed and Lorraine Warren, Amen.
"Not expecting it to end the way it did"
I enjoyed the story but was shocked too hear the family was never truly helped. Wouldn't we still be hearing about them...kind of makes me think it was embellished.
I feel horrible for their family and friends that were being tormented.. I hope that they can carry on with a peaceful life and rid of the demon.
"A second narrator (female) required?"
Very interesting story. Too bad that the male narrator felt he had to impersonate a females voice when reading a females characters narrative. He sounded like a trannie. Quite annoying sounding.
This was a scary but very interesting story I enjoyed every minute of it thank you
