On finding joy and spiritual meaning in life's small moments. We all have moments of joy, moments that move us somehow, spiritual moments that we can't quite put a finger on. But then we rush on and soon forget. In this book Chris Anderson encourages us to remember and share such moments. What he writes will inspire listeners who are hurting, doubting, or searching to find wisdom and meaning in their lives. Drawing on an ancient prayer tradition, the examen of conscience, Anderson spurs listeners to take stock of their own experiences. He shows how the examen can serve as a simple but powerful way to remember moments of light, of struggle, of joy. And however small or fleeting these moments are, through them God is always calling and meeting us.

"Eerdmans on Audio!!"
Finding God in surprising places.
The author's candour and vulnerability.
The book did not have "characters." The story is told in the first person from the perspective of the author.
Yes. In the car.
Trevor Thompson did a nice job of capturing the emotion of the different stories. Wonderful to listen to. I have long thought Eerdmans should do audiobooks. I am so excited!
They are different, both in good ways.
The constant changes and unexpected turns. The author kept my attention.
The story about blessing the building where a young person died held me.
God, where you don't expect to find.
The narrator did a great job of expressing the varied emotions in the text.
"Surprised by audio!"
I read the book and then purchased the audio. My family and I listened on a long holiday drive. The audio experience was different than reading the book. I am not sure which is better. They are both great.
The Divine Dance by Richard Rohr. Similar themes.
Amazing voice. The pace was perfect.
I hope Eerdmans does more books on audio!
