"Not worth buying"
Actually teach a some useable French.
He thinks he's teaching French by telling one how many French and English words are similar. He gives a few words to use those similar words is present tense sentences with either the French equivalent of I or you as the subject. He includes almost to grammar instruction, and the learner has very little that can be used in normal experiences. Not to be recommended.
"Kindly Edit Out Recording of Inaccurate Student"
The recorded students involved should not repeat the material incorrectly . Truly, my brain needs to hear the material correctly every time.
Otherwise, this approach with Michel would be outstanding!
"Not someone I would want to learn French from"
I found his voice irritating and his attitude annoying. "Do not guess. You are guessing."
Perhaps have someone else narrate it!
Slow, old, paternalistic.
It's a language program; there are no characters to cut.
I was so turned off by the introduction and rules that I had lost patience by the time I got to the actual samples. I only made it part way through the sample.
"Hypnotic language learning"
I first found the instructor off-putting, but then found myself hypnotized into listening. Anything that keeps me glued to it while I brush up on my French is a good thing to me! I'm now going to seek out the other installments.
"So glad for the sample"
I'm glad there was a sample rather than having to purchase the whole book to learn that this wasn't for me. I just could not understand or handle the narrator.
"Michael Thomas method; French sample course"
After listening to 20 minute sample I am forced to rewrite the 'I dont speak a word of French story' to I can speak, however poorly pronounced, and slowly a few words of French. My style of learning exactly. Will download the whole course now.
The teaching method is good, the t allows you to pick things up easily. Very simple.
"20 Minute free sample"
Very enjoyable easy to understand. Would like to go on and complete the full course. I feel encouraged to go further with the language .
"Where is this sample from?"
It was good while it lasted. Which complete title is this from ie introduction CD or the complete course?
