An excellent book!
I really enjoyed this book. The author has his own first hand experience in hunting dangerous big African game. The research and knowledge is well spread out amongst the many chapeters. An enthralling and exciting read with many poignant reminders on conservation and protection of the land and animals of Africa. Thank you Brian and Robert for a fantastic book

Loved it!
Great stories of another era. True stories of survival, bravery, humour, history, savagery, politics and animals. If you liked Out of Africa you will enjoy these true tales of daring in a dangerous landscape.

Great listen about the history of exploration and hunting exploits in Africa. story covers a number of interesting times in Africa such as the Boer War, WW1, WW2, the Mau Mau emergency etc. interesting times which helped shape a continent.
