The brevity & range of the targeted teaching points really nailed what I was seeking - core mindshift ideas to frame & action, something I haven't been able to achieve despite knowing what I need to do to bring projects/jobs/task to closure. I heard Steve Pressfield interviewed recently & bought this summary. Ideal for the big thinker who struggles to move forward on their passion. About to listen for 3rd time as so much more learning with each round.
While I thoroughly enjoyed this reading, when I bought this I thought it was the actual book and not the summary notes. Looking back now it's clear that it was supposed to be a summary. Can't wait to read the entire book
"Nice summary now I want the whole book"
Thoughtful and telling. Good lessons on how to live a full life and to value your own contribution to the wellbeing of the planet.
"Not the book! Just a cheesy summary"
This is just a short summary of the book. I was robbed. Beware. This is not clear in the description. I was robbed.
Oh, and the reader has a creepy voice too.
"THIS IS A SUMMARY"
Nothing wrong with it as a summary but I saw the correct cover of the book I was searching for the Audible book on and clearly didn't read closely.
While this summary and the reader's voice were just fine I really think the artwork could be edited to have Summary showing. I had no intention of purchasing the summary.
"Good for an overview"
Liked this as an overview and I am going to buy the actual book now.
"who is policing the length of the audio?"
The book is fantastic! this brief snippet is useful but should be free!
The audio quality is fine, it's just a snippet of the book.
"a red blooded grasp your aspirations book"
bold messages supported by anacdotal examples.
However, no obvious study into concepts or underlying motive knitting them together
"Dissolves resistance like magic powder"
With a clever play on the classic title : The Art of War , this book helps us overcome procrastination in an original and inspiring way . I bought it initially to motivate me to write; it actually helped me to lose three and a half stones at the gym. It's key advice , I feel, is to adopt a professional
attitude towards whatever you do.
"Shortern Than in Print"
It is putty that the written version of the book has not been reflected in full.
This way audio book serves just as a crib sheet of the written one
"Nice little motivator for a short journey"
Well worth a listen if you need a quick injection of confidence and motivation. Easy to listen to, but not much practical advice.
"OK. I have heard better"
it's OK and a good short summary in 30mins. Well spoken I though but, whilst driving to work I tend to lose concentration on what he is saying. I guess it didn't capture my attention as good as my other self development audios.
"Every word counts"
This short book summary will be worth a huge amount to me.
I would have purchased the unabridged versio if it was available on Audible.
It deserves focus.
I stopped it constantly and took notes.
I will use it to help me keep my goal to eat more healthy food.
I have been putting it off as I prefer eating the less healthy options.
The book explains that I am feeling resistance.
Resistance causes hesitation or procrastination or fear.
He suggests that we can crush resistance by taking action despite fear.
He says that resistance is in direct proportion to love. The opposite to resistance is indifference. We only feel resistance because we care (love).
What you put in is what you get out.
There are lots of great points + strategies in this little book summary.
For example get organised.
Just because this book summary is short doesn't mean that you can't get a lifetime of knowledge from it.
I feel better armed now to succeed in my daily battles.
The energy you put in = the energy you get out.
The narrator is good with thoughtful pauses.
The author is world class my short notes do not do the book justice.
Listen to the audio sample and you will get a good idea whether this book is for you or not.
I think it's great.
I would highly recommend that you buy it.
"Short but sharp"
It is sad the unabridged audiobook was not available, but this summary does not disappoint. Glad I purchased it.
