Proud, resilient and mighty
Your stories are an insight into your culture. To continue to pass on your stories is to stand proud and strong against all that you have endured as individuals as Lakota.
I’m Māori, indigenous to New Zealand. I empathise with your history because my people have an endured a similar history.
My present and my future are forever enhanced through what I have learned from your stories in this book.
The spirit and heart of the Lakota endures.
