"Simply the best anger management book"
This audio book is the best anger management book I have read so far. If you have anger management that manifest themselves in passive aggression or active aggression , this book addresses the root cause with hope, compassion and skills for making unproductive anger a productive emotion. I leaned more from this book than any other out there so far. I wish I would have listened to this book before my wife filed for divorce. I pray that people in the same situation listen to this book to prevent the damage that divorce does to a family. Keep trying to reconcile, God brought you and your spouse together so it's Gods will to see you do what is necessary to turn your anger emotion into productive communication and reconciliation.
"Troubling but enlightening"
The truth sometimes hurts. If you or anyone you know is deeply troubled by anger, this book will help in understanding and begin the healing process. I found the discussion on "passive aggressive" behavior particularly enlightening and useful. It is long, the real-life stories are troubling, but its worth it because the lessons are life changers.

A book that can motivate change and gives you the tools to bring those changes into your life
"Ok, But No Actual Tools to Help"
It was a good read as to 'why' you get angry and then spend the whole book to convince you not to get angry. It was appealing to your rational brain and rather than any emotional brain. I found no tools here at all to help when you are in a difficult spot to calm yourself down. So I was pleased with the 'psychology of anger', but not much actual useful help.
Very good and very practical book for anger management and realizing the roots of your behavior . I learned a lot as I'm struggling with managing my anger for years. No therapy or other books helped me as much. Thanks a lot.
Worth rereading several times to derive more information from it. I'm on my second time through. Very helpful and thoroughly composed.
"Better than any shrink"
I really learned so much about myself reading this book. I felt very confused and bitter about a lot of things and it really opened my eyes to my own pain but also helped me recognise pain in others rather than wondering why people are so stupid or mean and get into a position I can remain unharmed, and even helpful.
The price of this book, you can't even get an initial consultation from a student... The truths in the book are based on time and test, not the projection of your therapist like often happens in therapy.
"Already understood, but now I know my next step."
1) Petition for this to be taught in school. 2) I wouldn't include God. Sounds like a cop out for not understanding how to scientifically being able to explain something.
I learned a couple of things. Not much. This is something that should be taught in grade school because there are too many terrible parents out there that do not teach it, even subconsciously.
The narrator did a good job. No complaints.
I know how to use my anger's energy constructively. I was looking for a book that will teach me to convince people that my way of thinking is correct so that I don't get so angry at their stupidity. This wasn't the right book for that. It teaches you to lower your standards and accept their stupidity in order to not get so angry or to waste your time trying to use that anger's energy to try to reason with a brick wall. Good book if you are not very sharp to begin with, but I didn't get much from it because the situations I'm in are not so simple that converting my anger into constructive energy can solve the problem. I'm going to go read a book on how to manipulate people to my will and make them think it was their own idea.
This is a great book read in a warm tone that provides different perspectives on anger from the authors clinical experience. The book isn't excessively long and the information is not repeated. Questions are given to facilitate the readers personal development at the end of each chapter.
This book is of a more reflective read and not from a cognitive behavioural perspective, there are other popular books in that format. I recommend this for those looking for insight into their personal and relationship problems with a view to changing their beliefs and behaviours that are not working. This book does not offer quick fixes but does support lasting change.
If you get angry easily or want to learn how to deal with angry from yourself or another, this is a good listen
