"Simple and effective"
This book is not loaded with techniques to deal with your anger like deep breathing, it's more about noticing your anger and using your rational brain, instead of your primitive brain. By noticing your anger and shift in temperament by noting it in a journal, you get an idea of what sets you off. Just by noticing it and logging these things really helps. The book has much more details and examples and I have listened to it over and over again.
The speaker has a great voice and accent that helped put me at ease.
Yes, the story about a person in prison for an act they committed while angry.
"To the point and easy to apply!"
Simple facts about how the body and brian works. It's scientific but simple in this audio book with a pleasant voice.
As humans we all possess the same hardware and it's how we use it :-)
Diffidently some epiphanies and laughs!!
"Awesome awesome book!"
I already tried a few of the technics discussed and noticed my irritability has gone down and I am much more aware of my anger instances! I can't wait to fully implement all the techniques and be a better person. The voice is very clear, calm and friendly, perfectly suited for a book like this!
"Speaks Too Quickly"
Speaker speaks too quickly. Love the overview and the techniques. Must listen at least 2 times.
"Great. I wish it was much longer!"
I really loved it and there was so much content in such a little time. I wanted to know so much more of what he was talking about, please write a longer, much longer book or audio. highly recommended.
I can highly recommend this book. It has been written by an experienced professional who has lots of useful and practical advice. It is also full of examples, stories and anecdotes - I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. It has really challenged my core beliefs about anger and I think it will make a real difference to how I cope with angry feelings.
informative.. but too short, too simplistic and overpriced for what you get. little constructive content for everyday situations.
