Love the wisdom and practical guidelines to make life better!!
When Byron Katie first comes on the splicing is a bit confusing: stick with it, it starts to flow again quickly.
This audio has uplifted me and truly helped me change my thoughts (when I already thought I knew how to do this!)
"Practical Advice to Change Your Life"
A great book about honestly looking within and a practice that can change your life forever. Two of my favorite authors.
I love both Wayne and Byron K!
But this was above my expectations and I hope they're doing something together again!
"Interesting view and analogy"
Dr. Dwyer has always been inspirational and brings his own element and character to whatever he creates. This is the first I had listened to Byron Katie and by the end of this book I could see where she was going with her four questions. As human nature does - tends to fall into a basic thought process and pattern - it's difficult to not move forward without retaining that thought pattern after all these years.
Is it true? The theory behind the question really makes one take a hard look at each issue from a different perspective. How do you know it's true? It's easy to see how the human western culture tends to fall back into the same type of thought analysis. Looking at it from a very different angle does give one pause for thought and the deeper meaning behind these questions.
I like the concept and I believe that I like where she's going with this analogy it's just going to take me more than a book of a few hours to try to grasp this concept. I would certainly read more of her books in the future. It was a nice team effort on both of their parts.
"Everyone must listen to this lecture."
I have... very inspirational.
Learning about the Tao.
Both amazing speakers.
Makes me want to learn more about the Tao teachings.
"an open mind makes a good listen"
very inspirational. I don't think I understand the technique completely and may need to relisten but I am very pleased with what I have learnt. it makes driving to work a lot more uplifting.
This book was misleading if you go by the title Making Your Thoughts Work For You. I got nothing out of it, very repetitive and drawn out.
"Wayne Dyer rules!"
Great inspirational talk by WD - you can't go wrong with this.
"Skip the lecture.....therapy session"
Dyer is always worth listening to. The other contributer to this recording put me to sleep.
"Life skill in a stressful world!"
I do not wish to use "the work" to the level of peace that Byron Katie has realized, the extreme does not feel right to me, but the principals she is teaching, the work & the skills you can use, to address the unhealthy thoughts that can BIND you to unhealth in all aspects can be life changing, in the self, in relationships, and I am grateful for the gift she shares. May the Lord bless and lead you
"Introspection is key"
Asking yourself the questions which are presented in this lecture is key for self awareness and moving to a place of acceptance, forgiveness and love!
