    "Excellent, science based dating advice"
    Any additional comments?

This is a great, science based book that provides some tough to hear advice to men and women on dating and finding commitment. I would strongly recommend it to anyone that is single or currently dating.

"Offensive - One foot firmly planted in the 1950s"

The framework discussed is excellent and deserves merit. The rest of the book is disgusting. It encourages women to manipulate men to get them married for their money. It encourages men to be weak beta males so that women can take them for everything.

    "Absolutely everyone must read this"

This is one of the top 3 books I've ever read for helping to figure out and fox your life (not just your love life). I am skeptical of some of the reasoning regarding the evolutionary psychology, but I cant argue with how well my own behaviors in the past have fit with it, whether i like it or not.

The book is inspiring, insightful, direct, practical and should be required reading in grade school. I wish I had read this book when i was 13.

"A must read for any single!!!!"
Would you listen to Love Factually again? Why?

Yes, most definitely! There is so much information I want to make sure I can remember it all. Not too much, just so much that is so relative to today's dating environment. I just finished it, I am going to start it again today.

What other book might you compare Love Factually to and why?

I am to date, unaware of any other book to compare it to. Duana Welch has put so much work and research into this book, there couldn't possibly be anything to compare. College and graduate research written with enough common sense that any one of any education level can read, listen to, and completely understand. Her communication skills are far superior to almost anyone I have heard: whose book I have read or listened to, or anyone conducting a workshop, seminar, or college professor giving a lecture. Superior communication skills

    Any additional comments?

When I first started reading Duana Welch's book I was somewhat skeptical, having already heard a little of "dating strategies" and basically feeling as though one has to be a manipulative person to succeed in dating and finding a suitable mate. I no longer think that. All the research she has done is pertinent to today's male/female psychology and basic instincts when it comes to dating and mating. A must read for anyone still single, or newly single from 16-75. No kidding. I was married for 34 years, divorced, and am back out there again. It's all very relative and would have been relative when my ex-husband and I first met in 1981. <br/><br/>The author reads the book herself, and has a very pleasant voice making it easy to listen to. She speaks very clearly and evenly, but doesn't not to the point where it is boring. As with any good audiobook reader, you don't even think about the reader, just the information or story being read. <br/><br/>I can't say enough good about this book. Well worth anyone's time!!!

    "Science Based Courtship"

From where to look for a new mate through to marriage, Dr. Welch offers advice on finding a life partner for marriage-minded adults. Her tone is empathetic and her material is thorough - even providing a few word-for-word scripts for difficult conversations like:
Bringing up (or having) sex too soon
    Turning down a date
    Breaking up
    Saying "no" to cohabitation
I haven't found my life partner (yet), but I feel like I have a plan and if I just employ this ten-step process, it might just work.

    "Interesting and informative read!"
Would you consider the audio edition of Love Factually to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed being able to read this while in the car on a roadtrip. I think having the print version as well may be helpful to be able to refer back to some specific suggestions that the author makes, but I also like being able to hear her voice reading her own work.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Love Factually?

For me it was the ending when she both lifted up the reader and acknowledged the vulnerability and fear that is involved in dating. She validated the reader.

What about Duana C. Welch, Ph.D.’s performance did you like?

I like that she read her own book; it comes across that she cares very much about the topic and the readers' success in using the material in a practical way. She has a good voice for reading.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Being hard to get is a good thing when it comes to early relationship formation!

    Any additional comments?

I wrote in to the author with a personal question, as she invited readers to do, and she responded within a few hours with terrific advice. I very much appreciate that she can take my specific situation and apply science to it.

"Helpful information - book form is better"
Would you listen to Love Factually again? Why?

Yes - because there are pointers and tips you need to repeat. This is why having the book format would probably be better so you can refer back to it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    There aren't characters - this is a self-help book.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I never like it when an author reads their own work. It sounds contrived and not as good as when a professional actor or narrator does it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. It was too long, but it was easy to listen to the whole book.

    Any additional comments?

This helped me through a rough time, and actually had some good advice I hadn't heard before. So I really liked the book.
