Story
True leadership isn't a matter of having a certain job or title. In fact, being chosen for a position is only the first of the five levels every effective leader achieves. To become more than "the boss" people follow only because they are required to, you have to master the ability to invest in people and inspire them. To grow further in your role, you must achieve results and build a team that produces. You need to help people to develop their skills to become leaders in their own right.

Maxwell takes a closer look at failure - and reveals that the secret of moving beyond failure is to use it as a lesson and a stepping-stone. Publisher's Summary
John C. Maxwell, number-one New York Times best-selling author, helps listeners take the first steps to living a life that matters in Intentional Living.
We all have a longing to be significant. We want to make a contribution, to be a part of something noble and purposeful. But many people wrongly believe significance is unattainable. They worry that it's too big for them to achieve. That they have to have an amazing idea, be a certain age, have a lot of money, or be powerful or famous to make a real difference.
The good news is that none of those things is necessary for you to achieve significance and create a lasting legacy. The only thing you need to achieve significance is to be intentional. And to do that, all you need to do is start. You can't make an impact sitting still and doing nothing. Every major accomplishment that's ever been achieved started with a first step. Sometimes it's hard; other times it's easy; but no matter what, you have to do it if you want to get anywhere in life.
In Intentional Living, John Maxwell will help you take that first step, and the ones that follow, on your personal path through a life that matters.

Authentic, easy to listen too.
Really leaves a lasting impression on the importance of intentional living, and expands on what this means, and how to do it. Many stories and illustrations make this a good piece to listen too, while I observed in my own behaviour and awareness that I was shifting more towards my intentional self. Invest in yourself, you'll be glad you did.

Boring
I found this book to be a disappointment as it seems more a list of his successes rather than solid advice what to do. Unfortunately not interesting enough to hold my attention
