Have your husband read "For Men Only" and the wife reads "For Women Only" at the same time. These books do a fantastic job of telling us bluntly what we are not understanding about the opposite sex. You will have so many ah-ha! moments while reading this. It completely changed our marriage. My husband I have not fought since we read these books about 4 months ago because we have such a better understanding of eachother.
"Wow, I Didn't Know"
This book had great insight on theories I've heard before. This included practical insight that brought those theories home. The author was funny and real. I highly recommend this book.
"Finally a book to help me understand men!"
Very informational and enlightening. Something I plan on listening to again and again to keep reminding myself of the contents. Definitely a book I will recommend to all my female friends and family!
"Help for both Women and Men!!"
as a man reading this for the woman in my life, I was astonished at truly how accurate it all was! I also learned some things I did not know about myself! This book should be a must read for all couples entering into marriage for the first time, or more!
"Very helpful book"
Loved it! It makes a lot of sense and has greatly helped me understand my boyfriend and men in general. It's read in a conversational tone, which makes it very easy to follow.
"Hit the Nail on the head"
Wow, amazing job hitting a moving target. I was asked by my wife to validate and I have to say spot on.
As I prepare to become a wife, in an age where independence for women is so vital, it is helpful to know how to have a successful and lasting relationship.
"Passionate and Well Thought Out"
The author was also the narrator, which made listening great.
I mostly got this since I wasn't meeting my hubbys sexual needs, but wanted to. This book really opened my eyes, and has made things much better between us. He is way happier now.
Women: You think you know how men think, but this book will open your eyes and probably answer alot of questions and cause you to ask alot more to your hubby. Totally a game changer.
"A must read!"
This it's my second time reading / listening to this book. I have gotten so much more out it than I ever thought possible!
"Let it go already"
It appears there are a lot of men who live lives in quiet desperation after all! It also appears to me, according to this book, that thousands of men think negatively; and how is it my responsibility to nurture the mind of a man? The view men have taken to justify pornography, 'I get no respect at home' and "the woman in the picture "wants him"", is a psychotic event, a temptation, a characteristic and rationalization of fallen man and not just because the female in his life doesn't respect him. This enabling of a mans bad behavior while placing the blame on the woman is a male scapegoat. Each of us need to take personal responsibility for our actions and the culture has cultivated "my way or the highway" individuals. There are a few areas in this book I do not agree with and after 32 years of marriage I speak with some authority. If you put God first ahead of personal choices then you will automatically think of your spouse; filling your mind with God's Word is the way to wisdom and subsequent inner peace. I rated this book low because it is infiltrated with secular thinking. And if men are actually thinking this way then they have a serious problem; their childhood is still interfering with their adult relationships when they need to just let it go, let God, and move on.
Excellent advice in this audio. I listen again and again. it helps me try understand my man lol xxx
"Really helpful insight into the male perspective"
This was extremely helpful in presenting the view from the male perspective; valuing the difference is key. It helped me to be much more effective in communicating with my partner.
The feedback from the author's male friends gave real authenticity to what could otherwise have been theoretical gobbledygook!
Great help for those in a long term relationship with an Anglo American man!
