    "The superior edition"

This version is far better than the original. There's extra content and the narrator suits the vibe exponentially, he gets it. No disrespect to the English bloke but Justin Malik suits the whole Minimalists aesthetic.

"Loved the collection of Minimalist articles"

I love listening to these articles while I'm driving, standing in line and just feeling like I want a deeper reminder of the possibility and true examples of living a simple and meaningful life. ' Everything that remains' was my favourite read on this topic but this is short snippets of a variety of topics all about how to weave minimalism into our daily life and relationships. Well done and Thank you for having the courage to share such a powerful and sincere message! Xxx

    "Podcast is better"

I like The Minimalists — a lot. They’ve changed my life. As for this books of the “essential” essays cultivated from their blog, it was just all right. They are short and good for reading one or two before bed, and I think it may be too easy to dismiss some of the essays without noticing that each one is often just a brushstroke in a broader picture. And that broader picture is awesome. But, honestly, I get more out of their podcast than I did from this book. Grade: B

    Narration is excellent.

"Narrator speaks like he is on Meth"

Reader speaks way to fast, like he in a race. The result is that diction suffers and there are times when I had no idea what was said. Content, when understandable, was great.

    "Enough with the Credits"

I could not understand why there was a need to always start each individual chapter or Essay with the author's name when it's blatantly obvious who wrote the book, this made for a very difficult listen

"Redundant With Patches of Golden Truth"

If you know anything about minimalism it is a philosophy that is inherently minimalistic. The essays is this book are more like a personal journal of particularly Joshua Fields Millburn in which he has to repeatedly remind himself of what is truly important in life. While I can see the necessity and value of such an exercise in his own life it presents itself as quite redundant for the listener. The most enjoyable and impactful aspect of the book by far are the stories of others practicing forms of the minimalist philosophy which brought so much meaning to their lives. Not the impersonal mantras. My advice: don't buy the audiobook. Buy a physical copy, read it slowly over months, and then give it away. As a kind of book of proverbs, perhaps it will be perceived as less tedious by the end.

It should be a text of schools, university's and life. A philosophy for living that everyone should consider.

"great content, I can't stand the narrator"

I love the content, but some combination of the narrator accent/mumbling/poor recording equipment with hissing sibilant made this a chore to listen to. by comparison, the podcast with Ryan and Josh themselves are great.
