Everything that was said in this book was right on the mark. He described the different anxieties we could be dealing with, but you didn't ever get the skills to resolve them. I was very surprised when I realized that was all there was. Up until that time I was totally into it.
I've struggled with anxiety of various sorts. This book covered all possible scenarios fully, including one that many doctors have not been able to address related to needing to empty my bladder when stressed. "A truly transformative book"
I struggled for a long time with anxiety and panic attacks and always felt like something was happening that was completely out of my control. I started reading the works of Claire Weekes and began to understand anxiety much better, and stop suffering from it. I was skeptical of this book because I thought it would just be the same thing I read in Weekes' work just worded differently, but this book truly expands upon it and presents things in detail in an interesting and compassionate way. I would say Weekes' works got me understanding anxiety and panic attacks with my mind, but using the DARE response and the other ideas in this book has started me on the path to understanding anxiety and panic with my heart. This may sound corny if you haven't read the book, but trust me, if an anxious cynic like myself has felt this is a transformative book and process, than it can work for anyone. Understanding and accepting anxiety is he key to living life again, and this book gives so many great ways to go about setting that acceptance and compassion in motion.
I loved this book! I will listen to it again and take notes. I loved the author's reading of it! There is work to be done, but I will work it 😊.

Sorry but i hated this. I WANTED to like this. I wanted it to help. But it really didn't. If you have ever read anything at all about anxiety then you will know exactly what is i this book. Sorry but hated it. Cliched nonsense. Waste of money

I was amazed how most of my anxiety symptoms are in this book! There are time when Barry is describing something and I can relate. I think this book saved me from anxiety and how to welcome it and overcome it.

I just found the content really dull. Maybe it was because i have heard it before many times or maybe it was the way it was written and narrated, but not really very interesting at all and certainly didn't help with my panic attacks.

I had read EVERYTHING in this book before on the internet...for free.
Some of the tips were ok, but this is all very very cliched stuff which has been repeated countless times before.
Not worth the hype. This book is all about hype and marketing, which completely failed to deliver. All cliched dull advice which is available for free with a quick google search.

This book (and the marketing that surrounds it!) promised a lot and for me, totally and utterly failed to deliver. None of the advice and tips felt realistic or anything i could use in my life. At times i felt talked down to and other times the advice felt silly. Very disappointed.

Maybe some people will like this and given by the positive reviews some must, but for me this was not helpful at all. I think if you have never read anything at all on anxiety or panic attacks and this is a new thing then this might be the book for you. Otherwise I fear you may be hearing the same things again and again.

I still get anxious now and then, that's human. what I have learned is how to stop fearing it.
This program is the only thing that has helped me since my first panic attack 17 years ago. I've tried everything so I was dubious about buying into another program. I am so glad I did 😃
"A clear message with good guidance"
I have listened to anxiety books before and have had CBT, I recently had a bad setback after going on holiday which threw me off guard and I was distraught, I thought I'd give DARE a go and it's really great. Similar messages as others but so good to hear the author writing from experience and some really key messages put across.
