Agatha Raisin, the Columbo of the Cotswolds, is back in two more full-cast dramas based on the best-selling books by M. C. Beaton.
"The Potted Gardener": When a garden festival is announced, the village of Carsely is gripped with enthusiasm for water features and mulch. But the Grim Reaper is in the garden.
"The Walkers of Dembley": Keen to get closer to James Lacey, Agatha joins his walking group. But she is soon embroiled in a saga of murder, lust, and wellington boots.

"Dramatized Radio Production, Not Unabridged Book"
My rating is not a comment on the well-respected actors in this performance, it's a reflection of my disappointment when I realized this recording is not the unabridged book read by a single narrator but a short (approx 1 hour) dramatized production for radio. Now I know to check the file details before buying!
These are marvelous and although they take some liberties with the plots, very worthwhile. I am hoping that more of these BBC productions will become available.
"funny i laughed out loud..."
Some of the one liners Agatha said had me laughing out loud.., eg
Agatha talking to Mary ... Agatha is so rude.
Everything, I only listen to these because of Penelope Keith, she's the best.
This is performed more like a radio play than a pure audiobook. Penelope Keith is a perfect Agatha Raisin. Very fun.
"Fun, Fun, Fun"
Love these dramatizations. I used to wonder how folks could stand to have only radio, but comedy plays really, really well. And these voices are terrific.
"not an unabridged book"
I bought several of these and then discovered that they are not unabridged books read by Penelope Keith but very short, very abridged radio programs in which Ms Keith is but one performer. The sound quality is uneven and sound effects distracting. I am very disappointed and would not have bought them if I had known
"Recorded as a radio show"
I was disappointed to realize, after I purchased this title, that it was a copy of the book adapted for radio. Lots of different voices, but also lots of very distracting sound affects. Would not ever order this type of recording again.
Another delightful Agatha Raisin adaptation from Radio 4. Feel good booklets to be dipped into at leisure and over all too quickly.
Most definitely! Highly recommended. It's sure to please. Perfect for any mood but especially if you need a smile!
Fun, well performed by all concerned. Abridged, as dramatised , although captures the novel well and utterly brings it to life.
As ever, Penelope Keith is an absolute joy. Her rendition of Agatha is a delight!
Yes and I did. Sadly too short but it is a dramatisation and as such is perfect.
I will listen again!
