"A Girl Running From Her Abuser and The Man Who Protects Her"
Stormy/Stella is hiding from an abusive ex who wants to kill you. She bartending when a gorgeous alpha man Logan Wild, has a drink at his friend's bar. There is an undeniable connection. After he saves her from an assault, walks her home, and they become intimate. He's a PI ex Navy Seal who has feelings for her he can't ignore. She also has feelings for him.
Logan has 3 brothers who are also alpha and gorgeous...up coming books. They all care for their mother who was blinded when her husband was killed in a burglary. The sons are so wonderful, which we all know is indicative of a wonderful man...they can be sexual, but not manwhore...
I loved the story...I love the narrator...deep voice but he did a great job with the female voices by not faking it..which is always bad.
Well worth the purchase.
"Logan and Stella are smoking' hot"
Yes, as long as they enjoy audio books, rather than reading a story.
When Logan takes Stella to his mom's for the Sunday dinner.... swoon!
I would have preferred the audio to be performed by a male and female for the different character voices.
When Logan takes Stella to his mom's for the Sunday dinner.... swoon!
Wow, Logan and Stella are a smokin' hot couple!! Logan is an overprotective, romantic hero from the start and completely swoonworthy!! He knocks Stella's (Stormy's) socks off... literally, all while driving her crazy! This story is an absolute winner in my book and Melissa Foster is my favorite author!!!
Sinfully smokin HOT
I love love love LOVE all things Melissa Foster. In her series Wild Boys After Dark the heat gets turned up to super sizzle. Logan is smokin HOT!!!! Add in the sexy voice of the narrator in this audible book and OH MY *fanning face.*
"Melissa Foster does it again!"
Loved this story! Great story about a former Navy Seal turned PI and a girl in trouble! Hot, Sexy, Romantic, Lovable characters! I have read the book and also listened to the audible. What I liked about the audible was that I could workout, doing housework, walking or driving, I could listen to the story.
It works for me.
"Made me drool..in a good way :)"
Logan and Stella (Stormy) what a HOT couple. I love how Logan stepped in to protect Stella right from the get go. They had a hot, loving, caring relationship. Logan sure is an alpha male however, Stella was very good at protecting herself too.
I LOVED Logan. He was a true Alpha Male. A HOT Alpha Male. His first instincts were to protect Stella. He stepped into the role of protecting Stella from the first moment he met her. He has a HUGE heart. He cares so much about those he loves.
I was a little surprised at first about a male narrator. I think I prefer a female for romance novels but I would read another book with Robert Ashker Kraft as the narrator.
When Stella told Logan that he had to come to terms and tell his mother the truth behind the person who killed his father and how HE handled the killer. I felt a sense of relief when the air was cleared.
Once again Melissa Foster did a fantastic job with this book. Her writing keeps you riveted from the first word until the last word. You cry, laugh, sigh and your heart goes pitter patter at times through out the book!
"so very steamy"
This is the first book narrated by Robert Ashker Kraft that I have listened to. His deep voice is perfect for The Wild Boys Series. The way he was able to change his tone to fit the characters and what was happening in the scene made the story come to life for me. The story became like a movie playing to me. I could hear the emotions of the scene just by listening to his voice.
I was told to be prepared… this is steamier than the usual Melissa Foster book. I was not disappointed. The story was steamy, hot, sexy, and so sweet.
Logan is not looking for love; he is a one night stand type of guy and is happy being that way. Well, until he meets Stella Krane. Then it all changes and his heart is up for grabs. I love how he opens up to her and she opens up to him. It is not an instant trust; they work towards it, testing each other, and pushing each other away.
The storyline is its own, yet some of the characters mentioned are familiar to Melissa Foster fans. I love how the characters can overlap, yet not overtake the story. It is always fun to catch up with past characters or learn how they characters are connected to each other.
This is a series of 4 books about the Wild Brothers. Each book can be read as a stand-a-lone but to make them more enjoyable I recommend reading them in order.
"Interesting start to a sexy series"
Yes, the story was engaging and racy, just like I enjoy my romance novels.
The first book of the Wild Boys After Dark series definitely caught my attention in no time
The title character, Logan Wild definitely lived up to his last name. He was tall, dark, and badass to the bone. I liked him in the beginning of the story and was a bit in love with him by the end. He had this deep need to help and protect the innocent that made him a great P.I. I do love when a character has a military background and Logan definitely had that. He was a ladies’ man for sure but the way he fell for Stella had me feeling just a touch envious of her.
Stella on the other hand didn’t quite manage to get me on her side. She was a survivor of a relationship gone bad and spent time running and hiding. Naturally she was going to be gun shy of Logan and his need to be a more permanent fixture in her life. However, I didn’t feel like she had enough time to work through her issues. They were in a sense overlooked in favor of the happy ending and while that’s great that she found happiness, it didn’t have a finalized feel to it because I felt Stella needed to work on herself a bit more due to the lingering effects of her past. She wasn’t unlikable, I just didn’t fully connect with her.
Together, Logan and Stella practically burned each other alive. Their chemistry was off the charts and this is where the book differs from Foster’s better known works. There’s a bit of insta-love on Logan’s part which wasn’t something I was a fan of, insta-lust yes but not love. It’s a short story, not novella length but not a typical novel length either. I liked the length though, I don’t like for stories to drag on and on and this one didn’t which was great.
The Wild Boys After Dark are sexier, dirtier, and more intense than what I’ve experienced when reading Melissa Foster. Granted, I’ve only read four of her books, five with this one but wow, Logan was definitely a notch above normal on the heat scale. I could see Foster picking up many more fans with this series but also giving her long time fans something new to enjoy without completely leaving behind the style that makes her so likable.
I’m still a newbie when it comes to audio books but I know what I like to hear when it comes to the narrator. Robert Ashker Kraft has a smooth quality to his voice and I had zero problems following along. For me it’s essential that I be able to connect to the narrator’s voice and I had no problem here. Kraft inflicted the right amount of emotion needed in every scene without going overboard. Definitely one of the better experiences I’ve had with an audio book.
Final Verdict: If darker, sexier, and naughtier is what you’re looking for then don’t pass up Wild Boys After Dark: Logan, I know I had fun and I’m hoping to get my hands on the next book in the series just because these guys were fun and book boyfriend material.

"No, just no!"
Melissa Foster exceeds at writing sweet romances. In this instance, I think she should stick with what she is good at and not muddy her area of expertise. The storyline is good, but the instances where explicit content is included seems forced and just does not 'gel' with her style of writing. No, just please no.
"4.5 "Her Sexy Savior" Stars!"
4.5 "Her Sexy Savior" Stars for both the story and narration!
My first Melissa Foster listen and I'm in love! I understand that this series, the Wild Billionaires After Dark Series, is a little more erotic than her others; and boy did it deliver some heat! I also enjoyed the suspense angle of this intriguing romance. Further complementing the whole package was the talented and sexy narration by Robert Ashker Kraft which helped bring this romantic suspense title to life.
Stella Knight is on the run. After falling for a bad man, she doesn't know who to trust. Moreover, she misses her home and longs to be able to return to see her mother, but knows she can't go back home if she wants to protect her. Even worse, her ex's imminent release from prison--which she sadly tracks with "Xs" on her calendar--means that her precarious situation is about to get much more dangerous and worse.
Fortunately for Stella she happens to be in the right place at the right time, and meets Logan Wild at a bar. From the very start, the protective Logan, who uses his Navy SEAL training in his current career as a private investigator, is helping Stella evade danger. After a hot night of passion however, Logan knows that there is something that Stella (who tells Logan that her name is "Stormy") is hiding. Determined to get more than just one night with Stella, Logan sets out to uncover who Stella really is and what she is hiding. Can Logan solve the mystery before it's too late? Moreover, even if he does, is a HEA in the cards for this couple?
Robert Ashker Kraft's deep and charismatic voice is perfect for this romantic suspense title. I particularly enjoyed Mr. Kraft's rendition of Logan which seemed to perfectly exemplify his alpha hero protective and goose bump inducing passionate ways. Mr. Kraft also manages to produce a slightly higher toned voice for Stella--making it easy to distinguish the characters in the dialogues without needing to rely on dialogue tags. Mr. Kraft's timing was also well suited to set the mood for each scene. This was my first experience with Mr. Kraft's narrations, and I will definitely be looking to add more.
Whether you're a Melissa Foster fan already, or are looking for a new romance author who knows how to pen a sexy, alpha hero and compelling romance, I recommend that you give Wild Boys After Dark: Logan a listen!

"Turning hotness in to darkness "
I found the use of the audio is brilliant it captured the whole book. Robert did really well capturing each character and portrayed them how I imagined it's nice to have it hands free when you are going to the gym or a car journey just make sure to you have the jax in the head phones properly so you don't get red faced in certain parts lol. I loved my first book and it won't be my last.
"Love conquers all"
Sadly not, but it had nothing to do with the story, i just didn't like the narrator. The story was fabulous.
Bad Boy: Mick. It's on par for the steam and wildness!
No, I really didn't like his voice
I love Melissa Foster books, she never disappoints. This was a great story. Poor Stella, a little lost along the way to finding a full heart, but in sweeps Logan! Letting Stella know her worth, with protectiveness and care.
I listened to this book through Audio and loved it!
My first audio book and hopefully the first of many.
I have read all of Melissa's books so far and this book is a little risky compared to her other books but that's what made me love it more.
The sexual tension between Logan and Stormy from the first time they meet is electric and you may need a cold shower from page one lol!!
Stormy is running from her past and Logan is trying to deal with a heartbreaking past, they help each other overcome their fears and fall madly in love.
A steamy love match that has you hooked from page one!!!
Oh this is a difficult one but it has to be Logan. He has been through so much but always willing to help others. The man is sexy with a capital S!
As my first audio book his voice lured me in just as much as the words on Melissa's pages.
There were a few however the moment Logan opened up to his mother about the secret he has been carrying. I cried.
Loved this story!!
I enjoyed both the audio and the print version of this book. It took bit of getting used to a male voice for Stormy.
The Wild Boys series is completely different to Melissa's other series. It's raw emotion, and language give it more of an edge and feel.
I loved his voice. It matched my image of Logan, it was perfect.
I loved this audio book as much as the printed version. My only mistake was listening to it while I was trying to work, it distracted me too much lol!
The story of Logan and Storm is quite a rollercoaster. They both have a past and reasons they don't give in to their hearts, but together they find away back to being able to love and receive love. The book is written with all the emotion you come to expect from Melissa, and once you start, you can't stop.
The voice of Robert Ashker Kraft is very soothing and suits Logan well. It took a while to get used to his voice for Storm, but I soon got used to it.
"Great story, stilted narration"
I found it difficult to get comfortable with the narrator, it might be personal taste, but I found his voice a little stilted to the detriment of the story.
I love Melissa Foster's books and was a little wary as to how this new series would evolve, but I didn't need to be!
Melissa keeps her romantic, swoon worthy writing style and allows us to get entrenched into the goings on of another large softie in the middle family, and a storyline that keeps you on your toes.
Different from her other books, yet feels the same, I thoroughly recommend to Melissa Foster fans and beyond. A great start to a new series.
