What was she doing here? Hyattown had changed very little in the years Vanessa Sexton had been away. In some ways her high school sweetheart, Brady Tucker, hadn't changed much either - he was still lean, athletic, rugged... But the once reckless boy had become a solid, dependable man. He'd stood her up on the most important night of her life; could she ever trust him again?
So Vanessa had finally come home, Brady thought. She could still turn him inside out with one of her sultry looks. He couldn't believe she hadn't forgiven him for that night 12 years ago - but he'd had his reasons for not showing up. He'd let her leave town then - but he wasn't going to let her get away this time...

an enjoyable feel good romance with some added twists & turns creating suspense, anticipation & a touch of doubt about the happily ever after ending that you want for these characters.
"Slow and boring"
Story was slow and predictable. Dragged along. I don't mind calm stories especially before I go to bed. But this one was blah.
"Listeners will love this second chance romance!"
Enjoyable audible listen.
If you like second chance contemporary romance stories,
you'll enjoy Vanessa and Brady's story.
There wasn't too much angst, and the narrator was great!
A book/audiobook I'd recommend to readers!
"Narration a problem"
This narrators' tone and inflection for the main male character was incredibly bad. At best he sounded flat and dull at worst like a monotone serial killer. Her female performances and her male minor character performance was good This really ruined the story for me. Almost to the point of abandoning it.
"A Good Book"
Enjoyed every minute of it. I love a good romance. Now I want to know what happens when Van hooks up with her high school sweetheart. The happily ever aftet..
I knew the end from the very beginning! No real story line..no real story! Very boring, kept hoping it would pick up, but never did!!! Don't waste your time!!!
"Awesome as always"
Love the way Nora adds depth to characters - we know they'll end up together - but it really is a journey, an intelligent journey, the way Nora writes them up :)
