So you may ask, who is Adam Connor? He is the recently divorced, Academy Award-winning actor who just moved in next door with his kid. He also happens to be an exquisite male specimen and the most infuriating sly bastard I've ever come across.
While I was being thoughtful by not breaking and entering, and was actually considering going over to offer him a shoulder to cry on (you know, because of his divorce), instead he had me thrown in jail after a small incident. Jail, people! He was supposed to grant me countless orgasms as a thank you, not a jail cell.
After that day, I was mentally plotting ways to strangle him. So what if my body did more than just shiver when he whispered dirty little things in my ear? I can't be held responsible for that.
Even if he and his son were the best things since sliced bread, I couldn't fall for him. No matter what promises he whispered on my skin, my curse wouldn't let us be. I wasn't a damsel in distress - I could save myself, thank you very much - but deep inside, I still hoped Adam Connor would be the hero of my story.

"There really aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe the millions of ways I loved this book. To Love Jason Thorn made me a huge fan of Ella Maise's writing but To Hate Adam Connor may have just made me her book stalker!" (Read. Love. Review.)

"A beautiful story!"
***DILF ALERT***. Holy hell!! Adam Connor, I volunteer to have your babies!!!
This story totally rocked! Lucy is one spitfire of a woman and Adam Connor is scrumptious! Another hit by Ella Maise! These movie stars will make you swoon!
"Funny, Sweet, Feel Good Romance!"
My first Ella Maise story and it won't be my last. It was funny, steamy and had a lot of witty banter. I found myself laughing out loud. I LOVE IT, but I have to admit I almost did not make it past the first couple of chapters. Some of the dialogue between Lucy and Olive was annoying but once the pool scene hit (around chapter five) the story, dialogue and plot was awesome. I'm really glad I did not give up on this one!
After a break up, Lucy temporarily moves in with her best friend Olive and her husband Jason who happen to live right next door to the sexy movie star, Adam Connor. She secretly spies on Adam over the fence and takes a few pictures. One day while spying, she notices Adam's son, Aiden, is left alone by the pool where he puts on one arm float and gets in by himself. Watching from over the fence, Lucy sees the little boy start to panic when his arm float comes off and he starts swallowing water. Lucy realizes no one is coming to the little boys aid so she goes over the fence, and jumps in the pool to save him. Adam comes out and sees a stalker holding his son, and he has her arrested. Adam hates stalkers, and dislikes Lucy immediately. He's rude, won't listen to her, and her admiration for him quickly turns to hate. (Heck, I wanted to hate Adam.) After five hours in jail, Lucy's livid. Adam does end up dropping the charges when he learns the truth from his son and nanny. The next day, Adam and Aiden go next door to thank and apologize to Lucy. Lucy accepts, but they are hostile to each other. These two clearly do not like each other, but Lucy and Aiden bond well and Adam agrees to let Lucy watch Aiden for a week until he can find a new nanny. He may despise Lucy, but she's proven she will keep his son safe.
Adam and Lucy's hate quickly turns to attraction and the chemistry between them his hot. Adam was a swoon worthy DILF! He knows what he wants and goes for it! Awesome story with a few surprising twists. Well worth the time and definitely worth a credit!
Lidia Dornet and Sebastian York's performance ROCKED!
"LOVED LOVED LOVED IT"
This book was sweet, hot and well written. And there is even a cute little person in it. If you enjoy humor with your romance you will loved this one. I'm about to listen for a second time. I'm so excited.
Love the story, love the narrators just love it. A must buy if you love romance, craziness, and the boy falling for the girl next door😊
This was such a good book to listen to. The characters were easy to sympathize with and the narration was just excellent. I highly recommend this sexy book!
"love & hate"
this book is about love and hate I thought it was cute funny and in some parts there were intense moments I have to say the book didn't get interesting until the third chapter the first two chapters or about her complaining but once you get past that it's pretty adorable.
"Awesome story! Great narration!"
Really enjoyed this book. The characters where fun and entertaining. The narration was spot on and the overall experience was pleasant. Hope to see more stories from this author soon.
I loved this book! Lucy made me laugh over and over! A very sweet yet sexy love story!
"THIS IS A MUST LISTEN TO."
amazing, thrilling book!!!
I don't think I can I say I can compare it to another book, but i would say listen to love Jason Thorn so that you have a better understanding.
That Lidia did a 100% much better job narrating then last times. I also loved that fact that you get so much more listening time of Sebastian York.
It made me cry and laugh so much that I looked like a crazy one. It had some moments where I was at the edge of my seat.
Adding the little boy(Aiden) to the mix was great story.
Absolutely. This book is really fun and funny! Lucy is hilarious. Aiden is adorable. Adam is complete book boyfriend material. And we get more of Olive and Jason!
Lidia Dornet and Sebastian York are two of my all-time favorite narrators. They performed the crap out of this book! They can take a great book and make it even better. They bring life and heart to anything and everything they do.
This book comes after To Love Jason Thorn, but you don't have to read or listen to that one as this book can be a standalone, but I loved the first one...so read/listen to that one too because it's awesome. Lucy is staying with Olive and Jason after having her heart broken by her ex. They happen to live next to movie star Adam Connor. Lucy and Olive enjoy climbing a ladder and watching their drool-worthy-single-dad next door neighbor as goes about his business. One time while Lucy is spying Adams son is left alone outside and decides he's going to try to swim in the pool by himself - even though he doesn't know how to swim. Lucy sees him and rushes over the wall that separates them to save him. After she does Adam thinks that she is a stalker and has her arrested, thus begins her hatred of Adam Connor. Later Adam gets the whole story and goes to apologize with his son (who is absolutely adorable!) to Lucy. Lucy is taken with Aiden, Adam's son, but not so much with Adam.
Lucy, who has decided that she is never going to fall in love again, is a little lost as we start this book. She has just graduated from college with an accounting degree that she has no interest in. She was just left by her ex-whatever-he-was and her apartment along with it. Adam on the other hand knows what he wants, his son to be happy and safe. He wants a long term relationship. And he wants to be able to balance work and home life.
I loved this book. Lucy tries to be tough but Adam can see right through to the heart of her. I smiled a lot and laughed a lot. Completely worth a credit! Highly recommended!!!
Book two in an original, well written, character driven, sexy, funny and laugh out loud series. Loveable characters narrated with style by Mr York SIGH and miss Dornet. Very enjoyable !!
"Love love love"
Love Sebastian York. His voice is sin on a stick. I think I had 1 of those mini orgasams when he was doing the sex scenes. Good choice on narrator.
