Publisher's Summary

"There is only one bond that I trust: between a woman and her sisters. We never take our eyes off each other. In love and in rivalry, we always think of each other."

When Katherine of Aragon is brought to the Tudor court as a young bride, the oldest princess, Margaret, takes her measure. With one look each knows the other for a rival, an ally, a pawn, destined - with Margaret's younger sister, Mary - to a sisterhood unique in all the world. The three sisters will become the queens of England, Scotland, and France.

United by family loyalties and affections, the three queens find themselves set against each other. Katherine commands an army against Margaret and kills her husband, James IV of Scotland. But Margaret's boy becomes heir to the Tudor throne when Katherine loses her son. Mary steals the widowed Margaret's proposed husband, but when Mary is widowed it is her secret marriage for love that is the envy of the others. As they experience betrayals, dangers, loss, and passion, the three sisters find that the only constant in their perilous lives is their special bond, more powerful than any man, even a king.

Would you listen to Three Sisters, Three Queens again? Why?

I seem to be addicted to historical fiction so when I started to listen to yet another Philippa greggorys books , I wasn't very impressed, thinking it would be another of the same ilk. I was wrong, I couldn't stop listening to it. It is passionate and so well written and even though I know my history I was still left wondering what would happen next

Who was your favorite character and why?

It is so easy to identify with all the characters I can't have a favourite

What does Bianca Amato bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Her voice is hypnotic and delicate and lends itself well to this kind of book
I can't think of a better narrator for it

    "Good story"
If you could sum up Three Sisters, Three Queens in three words, what would they be?

    Colourful, fascinating, gripping

    Any additional comments?

A good retelling of the story of Margaret Tudor. The narrator is quite good with the different voices, however, her attempt at a Scottish accent is laughable.

    "too many setbacks"

I couldn't believe that so many bad things could happen to one woman. I kept wondering if anything would ever go right for her. I was not sure I could take any more attacks on castles!
otherwise a good book and well written.

"Margaret of Scotland becomes an intriguing figure."

I knew very little about Margaret, Queen of Scotland and in this book she became alive. A page turner in my opinion and I would highly recommend it to fans of historical fiction.
