A masterful end to a masterful series
At first I didn't know how JA was going to finish a remarkable set of books that have captured my imagination through romanticism, intrigue, humour and suspense. That is until I listened to the last hour which bought me to tears in memory of an epic tale with only the most obvious ending once you have heard it. Well done JA. I am again, spellbound.

Perfect
A wonderful farewell to this incredible series by Jeffrey Archer. 'This Was a Man' moved me, brought me to tears and made me rejoice. The entire series was gripping, moving. While the previous books were all incredible, and well deserving of their accolades, this- the final in the series, is nothing less than perfect. If you haven't, please go and start this series. If you have already, I fear this review is albeit pointless for you, as I imagine you would already have it.

satisfactory conclusion
Jeffrey Archer brings to a satisfactory conclusion the clifton chronicles with this seventh volume. we have lived with the hero his entire life. The last pages manage to tie everything up in a neat and tidy end.

Great story
Exceptional use of English language. Exciting twists and turns leading to unexpected solutions. American authors could learn about 'the power of the pen' from G. Archer.

A well created novel, brilliantly crafted.
I would have loved listening to this third story in the trilogy, if I had first listened to the preceding two novels. unfortunately I didn't, so I found it rather confusing and slow moving. However I appreciated the skilful use of language.
