"Great narration and fun "you go girl" story"
I liked the characters and the empowering transitions of the lead. It was a wonderful chick flick type book with enough glamour, travel, and rich gay friends to keep anyone entertained.
"Great fun read"
You go girl!
Loved all 3 main characters.
Just the thought of how strong we really are when we put our mind to it.
The almost end!
Loved the story, how friends help and how your life changes.
Takes place in England, so there is an English accent which I love. Very entertaining and funny. I'd listen again.
I really enjoyed this one. it's a chick-lit, easy, funny, carpe diem - make changes type of book. I have heard it twice and loved it both times. only problem I have with this book is that the main character keeps calling her friend as her 'gay friend'. it bugged me. she didn't called her other friend as her 'straight friend'. both other than that, I really liked ir.
This was my first book by this author and since I liked it so much I'm going to check out another.
"Fun Story, Boring Narration"
I would recommend the book to friends who like chick lit, but the actual written book-- not the audio book. The narrator read the book without any type of energy or flair. I think it could have been a great book if she had not half-slept through the performance.
Some of the actual items on the list were fun. It was quite predictable, but the sort of fluff I was looking for.
NO. She has a great voice, honestly, but she had no energy. Everything was very flat.
Probably. I think with a few edits and a focus on the actual to-do list instead of the predictable romance, it could make for a funny movie. I think the movie, if edited correctly would be funnier than the book
If you're looking for fluff chick lit, pick up the book and skip the audio version.
"Pretty good "
Pretty good - not as good as Always the Bridesmaid though - the characters were not as likeable.
"So funny and fun"
Loved this clever and great story! I laughed out loud! The narrator was fantastic as well.
"Great read for a 30-something looking for fun distraction!"
Loved characters, loved the support group she had, some things might be unrealistic but most things jive with the junk I've experienced...minus super rich friends or extremely handsome men that are in love with me and I've never noticed! Ha! Is there a 2nd book? If not, can there be?!
Wonderful book on friendship, family, and love. Great characters. I wish it was a series.
"Love Love Loved This Book"
I think they both are great, however, I am always traveling on trains and buses and feel very sick looking down so the audio was really helpful for me.
I laughed out loud throughout the book and sympathized with the character on many occasions. It was really well spoken and easy to get into.
"Good for newly single"
I loved this book but it was made even better that I am newly single and listening to her made me see all the things I've been doing ! I love the author and am reading through all her books and I think this is one of the best :)
"Snappy,fun and witty."
One of the best ive read on audible so far. Coulndt stop listening. Going to get all authors books now.
"Excellent, better than reading it."
I'm always a little suspicious of audio books in the same way I am films as they can remove or limit the imagination reading induces. This book was different. I felt the audio actually enhanced it. Although I had read it many years ago this version brough the characters to life and I was able to visualise myself in the same situations. Excellent read, I'd recommend it.
"Very light but very good."
This is very light and fluffy chick-lit, but one of the better ones. The characters are well written and funny, the plot is silly but enjoyable and over all I spent a very happy few hours listening to it. I have a bad cold so it was perfect easy listening. The narrator is great, and the story was great. I'll be looking out for more audiobooks from these two.
"Easy, slightly predictable summer read"
This book is not as good as Always the bride's maid, but the story moved along nicely and got addictive. Lindsey Kelk is good at comedy dialogue and awkward dating situations. The book was slightly predictable, which is the only reasons I'm not giving it top marks, but if you need to chill out and smile, this is a good one. Narrator is also good.
"Light and Breezy"
Nice light story easy to follow. The reader was very exciting and could have performed better.
