The one you really want could be closer than you think....
The One You Really Want is a sweet, funny, romantic novel from best-selling author Jill Mansell. Not to be missed by listeners of Marian Keyes and Cathy Kelly.
It all starts with a shiny, red sit-on lawn mower.
When Nancy spies her Christmas present from her husband sitting on the lawn, she realises the jewellery she thought was for her must be on someone else. Her best friend, Carmen, isn't surprised (she never liked Jonathan) and persuades Nancy to leave Edinburgh and come and stay in her luxury London flat - far too vast for Carmen since her husband, millionaire rock star Spike Todd, died.
Soon Nancy's met gorgeous Connor O'Shea, who lives next door, and his daughter, Mia, is matchmaking - not least because she'd like to see the back of Connor's current pushy girlfriend. Meanwhile Carmen, who's always been certain she doesn't want another man in her life, feels a spark when a handsome charity worker called Joe calls round. But Joe's not quite all he seems....

A lovely story. Read very well. An easy and relaxing listen. I would recommend to my girl friends.
I loved reading this book, I didn't won't it to finish, I was laughing a lot and crying a bit. The narrator was brilliant at the way she spoke the words with the different accents and feeling to the words.
"Didn't want it to end"
Easy listening. Totally engrossed didn't want it to end. Even if it was a bit predictable
"Good book awful narration"
I liked the book but found the awful Irish accents really off putting. Surely in 2016 you can get someone better than the leprechaun from the lucky charms ad to narrate, really spoiled the book for me
Highly recommend, fun, easy going listen. Smiles and laughter along the way. Ideal relaxing book
Loved it. Another great book with intettwined stories. Really looking forward tovl the next one.
Nice little story. Very easy listening, easy to engage in the characters and like them.
"Great book... shame about the narrator!"
This is a great Jill Mansell story, however the narrators accents are so awful it's off putting.
lovely story great characters
good and easy listening with a lovely happy ending to it
"Most horrendous narrator ever!!!"
This book was entirely ruined by the awful narrator, the accents were terrible and completely inconsistent which was a total distraction from an otherwise nice story.
