Incredible story so moving
Loved the book right from the first page. Amazing story of one man right from his birth to death. So sad in parts but funny and clever writing. A gripping and poignant tale.

Incredible life story
So we’ll written, I picked this title up as a ‘fill-in’ while I was waiting for a new release and became so involved in the storyline that it was all I could do to get back to it after having to put it down. Excellent read.

Favourite Audible book yet !
I have listened to over 70 books on Audible and this was by far the most enjoyable.
Poignant , hilarious and matter of fact in a way only the Irish can be. l can't recommend this book highly enough.
l sometimes get put off by the choice of narrater but Stephens Hogan's performance was perfect .

A gem
Wonderful story, and so well written. Only one point where pub banter seemed to go on forever but nudged the fast-forward button and the story was off and running again.
Cyril was so likeable with a sharp wit and soft heart. Probably one of the best books in my library. And so good to escape the cliched dross floating about.
