Publisher's Summary

Business tycoon Daniel Derenzo lives for his work until his dying father reminds him life is short. When Daniel starts to reevaluate his world, he experiences a startling revelation: He's attracted to his business partner and best friend, Nick, even though Daniel always believed himself to be straight. In typical type-A fashion, Daniel dissects his newfound desires with the help of the experts at the Expanded Horizons sex clinic. He goes after Nick with the fierce determination that's won him many a business deal.

Nick Ross was in love with Daniel years ago, when they were roommates in college. But Daniel was straight, and Nick patched his broken heart by marrying Marcia. Two kids and 14 years later, they go through the motions of their marriage like ships passing in the night. But Nick's kids mean the world to him, and he's afraid he'll never get joint custody if they divorced. If he can trust his heart to an awakening Daniel, they all might find their way to a happily ever after.

Mixed emotions about this sexual awakening romance

When corporate raider Daniel Derenzo finds out his equally driven father is dying of cancer, both men recognise they’ve prioritised money and success over happiness. While Daniel has always been straight, he realises he has feelings for Nick Ross, his business partner and best friend since college. Unfortunately, Nick is unhappily married to Marcia who doesn’t want Nick but won’t let him or the children go. Applying his business acumen to the situation, Daniel mounts a hostile takeover. Oh boy, I was up in the air about parts of this, I liked Daniel and Nick, I felt sorry for Marcia (a bit), but the battle for Nick and the kids felt real and bloody at times. I’m sort of scratching my head about Eli Easton’s decision to write a cheat scene, it muddied the ethical waters and the story would have worked fine without it. Either way, it made me think and feel and that was good. Audio narrator Tommy O’Brien was mostly good, but sounded a bit clunky at times, especially in the romantic scenes.
