Publisher's Summary

June the first, a bright summer's evening, a Monday....

And into the busy, bustling homes at 66 Star Street slips, unseen, a mysterious visitor. As the couples, flatmates and repentant singletons of No. 66 fall in and out of love, clutch at and drop secrets, laugh, cry and simply try to live, no one suspects the visitor patiently waiting in the wings.

For soon, as the light slowly fades to dark, everything is going to change....

Beautiful story

After the last Marian Keyes I read which was so bad I couldn’t finish it, this story was captivating from the very start. Loved the story, loved the narrator fell in love with the characters.

Very Entertaining

If you could sum up The Brightest Star in the Sky in three words, what would they be?

Thrilling, emotional, funny.

What other book might you compare The Brightest Star in the Sky to, and why?

Nothing compares to this book! It's an original!

Have you listened to any of Gerri Halligan’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Gerri Halligan is always an excellent narrator, changing the voices sufficiently so you can recognize each character easily, without losing the flow of the story. Very enjoyable to listen to all the way through.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Don't want to give anything away, but finding out what happened to upset Matt and Maeve was particularly emotional, and then David's ending made me laugh out loud!

Any additional comments?

A thrillingly emotional joyride that never has a boring part, keeps you entertained and entranced to the very end, and just gets better and better as it goes on! Loved it! Can't wait for the sequel!

A lovely tale

Marian Keyes doesn’t disappoint, another great tale.
The only thing that bothered me slightly was the narrator’s ‘male’ voices; but otherwise five stars!

Great craic!

I loved this book. Funny, sad, interesting characters .... I thoroughly enjoyed it! Great narration too. If the narration is woeful or annoying I won't listen to the book to the end.... enjoy!!!

Hilarious!

This book made me laugh out loud - and a great story to boot! The characters are interesting and engaging. Would definitely recommend for a lighted tale.

Beautiful story about people, with some hard lessons

Love Marian Keyes' work, this is like most of her books, a beautiful observation of how messy and beautiful life can be. Always an insight into political stand points in Ireland and ALWAYS good for a laugh here and there.

Wonderfully different!

Love Marian Keyes and at first wasn’t sure about this story as it’s a little unusual but in her usual way she hooked me and I LOVED it!

Give it time

I really didn’t enjoy the first third of this book. I felt I had no idea what was going on and nothing made sense. The more I listened, the more intrigued I got and I found myself craving to hear more. Marion never fails.
