She was the one who got away....
Ten years ago, Brent Nichols let the love of his life slip through his fingers. It's his greatest regret, especially since she's all but disappeared. But when the gorgeous and captivating woman walks into his life unexpectedly, he's determined to win her back. Whatever it takes, he won't make the same mistake twice.
Easier said than done....
Shannon Paige has hardened her heart to the man she was once engaged to be married to. After the way he left, and after the hell she's been through with her checkered family, there's no way she's letting him into her life again. The problem is, the second she sees him, he's more handsome and charming than before. And she's torn between wanting to fight with him and wanting to sleep with him - maybe both. Soon they fall into each other's arms, consumed with a desire that burns through the years.
But if these two fiery lovers are going to have a real second chance at this kind of intense, passionate, bone-deep love, he'll have to give her his whole heart, and she'll have to give up all the secrets from her messy past.
And that messy past is about to spill over into her carefully constructed present....

Did not finish - story started with potential but just got boring unfortunately. This happened last time i listened to one of Lauren's books too but this had good reviews so I'm disappointed.
"Josh's narration is sexy and strong"
Love this series!!! And Josh Goodman does a fantastic job capturing the sexiness, suspense and emotion between these characters!
"Another Nichols Brother Wins My Heart"
I absolutely would, because I love Lauren Blakely's writing, and Josh Goodman did a great job narrating.
I loved Brent's YouTube bit, as well as Shannon's video montage. Showed real insight into how they feel about each other.
It's always interesting to hear a book read by someone else, because they bring their own interpretation. I love Josh Goodman's voice, and feel like it's a great match for this story.
No, I just really enjoyed the whole thing.
I couldn't recommend this audio book any more highly.
As expected, Lauren Blakely delivers again with "Sweet Sinful Nights". This is book one in her new Sinful Night Series. This is Brent Nichols and Shannon's story. And what a story it is!
Hold on to your pants because the narrator is super hot and makes this story really come to life!
Brent is the equally sexy brother of Clay Nichols from the Seductive Night Series. Not only is Brent hot as hell, he's funny and loving too.
Brent met and fell in love with Shannon 10 years ago in college. Their love and passion was hot as fire. Shannon had such a hard life and her childhood was difficult. Brent's love was able to take that all away. Both striving for success, Brent as a comedian and Shannon is a dance choreographer, they let their relationship break. Neither willing to budge on their career path, hurtful words were spoken and the relationship was broken.
Fast forward 10 years and these two cross paths again in Las Vegas. Brent is no longer doing comedy full time, but is the owner of a very successful chain of nightclubs. Shannon now goes by the name Shay Sloan and she owns her own company called Shay Productions. She choreographs Vegas style dance productions and is trying to get into one of Brent's clubs. She doesn't expect to meet with Brent only his business partner. Both Brent and Shannon are floored when they see the other at this meeting. Neither can deny the feelings from the past that come slamming into them.
This book is their hot and passionate journey to the past and the present. You will definitely not want to read this in the presence of others unless you want them to witness you getting completely hot and bothered. I fell completely head over heels for Brent! I love getting small bits of Clay and Julia and meeting Shannon's strong and protective brothers. Brent and Shannon's story is wonderfully resolved, but there's so much more story to tell and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds.
"Don't waste your time on this one"
Reader did an ok job, but story was very boring. Will not be purchasing any more of her books.
"One amazing story about second chances!"
This book totally captivated me from the beginning and all throughout the book! Brent and Shannon's love is breathtakingly beautiful and will pull on all your heartstrings!
Brent is incredibly hot and swoon worthy with a dirty mouth and heart of gold. He made a big mistake in letting Shannon go years ago and he is determined to not make the same mistake twice!
Shannon is a sexy choreographer with a heartbreaking past but she is one strong heroine and has made her way in life! When these two are together, you can feel that they are made for each other! Will they be able to move on from the past and the mistakes made?
There is also the intrigue and suspense from Shannon's family past that will at times have you on edge! Can't wait to uncover more about this family especially Shannon's 3 hot brothers!!
Another best seller by Lauren Blakely!
"Sweet and Sinful Narrator!"
This was my first Audiobook and it was weird having a story told to me, haven't had that since I was a kid. lol.
The Narrators voice was Sweet and Sinful just like the book!
I did love his voice, I thought it has just the right amount of sexy to it, especially all the naughty parts of the book!
Loved the book, great chemistry between Brent and Shannon and love the mystery behind Shannon's family and can't wait to see how it all unfolds later in the series!
"Lauren Blakely & Josh Goodman are a winning Combo!"
Captivating, sweet & sexy
When Brent kept proving that he was a changed man and was committed to putting Shannon first but still being his dominant self.
I liked his inflections and the voice changes were all very well done.
Who knew Sweet & Sexy Second Chances came in Vegas?
This second chance romance is a fabulous start to Lauren Blakely's new Sinful Nights series! She captured me with this sweet, sexy, and emotional story from the very first page and never let go. She created 2 very passionate characters from 2 very different worlds who couldn't get enough of each other. When youth, ambition, and pride get in the way they break apart and go their separate ways. Then when life brings them back together 10 years later, they can't deny their love that never died. This time they are older and wiser but can they overcome their hurt feelings and pride to start over fresh? Brent Nichols has always regretted his ultimatum that cost him the love of his life, and now that they are working together he will do whatever it takes to prove to her that he is not the same man he was 10 years ago. Shannon Paige-Prince has suffered several heartbreaking events in her life and has built walls to protect herself. She does not want to risk the devastation she endured the last time she lost Brent. But Brent has always been her light in a world that has brought her so much darkness and she needed him to fill the sad places inside her with his light. Brent is sexy, funny, caring and tender but also exquisitely commanding. Shannon is strong, intelligent, kind and loves to give as much as she gets. Together with their fiery passion and combustible chemistry they begin the exploration of who they are now, but is it enough? I love that both Brent and Shannon are not angsty but more mature and approach their opinions and actions accordingly. They are honest and genuine and I found them to be charming, fun and very believable. I fell in love with all of Shannon's family and look forward to reading more about her intriguing brothers. The other secondary characters were wonderful as well and add so much depth along with a bit of mystery and suspense to this story. This is a 4 book series that follows different couples but also a longer story line that has me hooked already. I can't wait for book #2!
"Love This Book!"
I need the next book now. This book was serious and fun with mystery. Oh the cliff hanger. Hurry with the next book please.
"Definitely 5 Stars, Loved this Story!"
I enjoyed listening to Sweet Sinful Nights because the narrator had an easy and nice voice to listen to. He spoke with such ease that drew me in, and showed and highlighted emotion in a way I have not heard in other audiobooks. It was also an amazing story of second chances, hope and love. I really enjoyed listening to Brent and Shannon find their way back to each other.
I really enjoyed Brent's character. Although he made some poor choices in the past that deeply affected both he and Shannon's lives, they both grew and learned from their experiences and were able to find each other again and reconnect. I think it ultimately made their relationship so much stronger and enlightened them to what they had both been missing and to remind them to appreciate the amazing love they have. I could not help but fall in love with Brent and all the ways he wanted to prove to Shannon that he had grown and that he was worthy of her love and that he would be there for her no matter what.
My favorite scene is towards the end of the book when Shannon reveals some extremely important news she had kept from Brent for a very long time. After he finds out he leaves, but returns later on and they truly have found their way back to each other.
"I belong with you, and you belong with me. You and I are fire. We always have been. And sometimes we burn with how much we love. Sometimes we hurt each other. But I will do whatever it takes for you. Just as you will do for me. I lost you once, and there's no way I'm going to let that happen again. Got it? You are mine".
I definitely could have listened to it in one sitting if time were not an issue. It was extremely easy to listen to and sucked me in from the beginning.
You will not be disappointed in this audio book. It is one of my favorites to date and I could see myself listening to it over and over again. I listened to it in my car, at my house just relaxing and on my treadmill.
"buy it on sale"
This book was just okay for me. It really wasn't all that memorable. It's a sweet second chance story but a little one sided on blame. Shannon blames Brent for all that went wrong in their relationship. He gladly accepts it just so he can get another chance with her. This goes on for three quarters of the book. It just got annoying. I've never been a big fan of Lauren Blakely and this book did not change that one bit. Bottom line. If you like LB you will probably like this book. If, like me, your not a huge fan I would skip it.
