Ivy, a talented tattoo artist who spent the early part of her 20s on the move, is finally looking for a place to call home. She thinks she might have found it in San Francisco, but all that changes when she witnesses a terrible crime. She's ready to pack up her things yet again when a random encounter with a stranger keeps her in the city, giving her reason to stay after all.
That is until Ivy discovers that their encounter wasn't random. Not at all....

"S York excellent...O. Song awful narrator!"
The storyline of Ivy was dead on for her character based on previous books. A bad-a** ex-navy seal is basically the only person in this world who would attract Ivy's attention so I found that to be realistic. I actually enjoy all of K.A. Tucker's books but this particular version performed by Olvia Song was almost unbearable. Every time "Ivy"'s chapter came up and she spoke in any type of "male" voice it made me want to turn it off - yes its that bad. Sebastian York is phenomenal as usual and I wish Elizabeth Louise was the narrator for Ivy hence the 3 stars for performance.
"I really wanted to like this book....."
The story is ok, the erotic scenes kind of tepid
Not very interesting. I made it through 2/3 and finally gave it up. The protagonists are too much alike to be interesting
I love Olivia Song's voice. That said, the criticisms of her forcing a male voice are valid.
I was led to this title after reading "He Will be my Ruin." THAT is a great book by the same author. I've read it twice now and enjoyed every minute.
PASS on this title and get HE WILL BE MY RUIN.
"Not my fav of hers, but mostly enjoyable"
This was good for the most part. I am not a big suspense person, but this really held my interest. I didn't love the female main character, I couldn't relate to her at all. Also, the female narrator has a nice female voice, but an awful male voice. The male narrator was great, as usual.
"Love KA Tucker"
KA Tucker is a genius. I buy everything she writes and she knocks it out of the park!! So well written, complex and suspenseful. Loved these two and the secondary characters.
"best book of the series"
highly recommend this whole series I couldn't stop listening this was the best book in the series
I enjoyed listening to this book from beginning to end. I like how this series of books relates to each other so easily. it's nice to be able to tie all of the characters together. I have considered listening to the whole series a 2nd time.
"Worth Waiting For!"
I'd been waiting for this story since book one. KA Tucker's stories are addictive! Her characters are so fully developed, readers cant resist the connection. This is my favorite audiobook so far from the Burying Water series. Once I begin one of her books, I never want to stop until I reach the end and this was no exception. Perfect story line and fantastic narration!
As it definitely was not my favorite of the series I love the storyline I just didn't like the girl reader reading a guys voice as everyone else said. The Navy seal was perfect for ice and I was a great storyline
she should never do male voices! the story dragged! I couldn't make it to the end
"not my favorite"
although the story was ok, there was too much sexual detail for my liking. not necessary and took away from actual story.
Interesting characters and interesting story
I listen/read for escapism and this kept my attention. I liked the main female lead - and accepted the male lead - very strong alpha males can sometimes annoy me but it wasn't too bad
"A fantastic must read!"
This is without a doubt the best book I have read in about 12 months and I consume at least one romance every couple of weeks. I cannot recommend it enough. I love KA Tucker's stories and this one is my new favourite. I burnt through it way too quickly but could not help myself. The chemistry, the characters, the plot - it all sizzles. Ivy is a kick ass female lead. Sebastian is perfectly matched to her. Both are hot as hell. The storyline is really solid, gripping, raw, rough and real. You need to read/listen to this book pronto! P.S. Both narrators reflect the characters perfectly and do an awesome job.
