Summer has arrived in the Cornish town of Mount Polbearne, and Polly Waterford couldn't be happier. Because Polly is in love: She's in love with the beautiful seaside town she calls home, she's in love with running the bakery on Beach Street, and she's in love with her boyfriend, Huckle. And yet there's something unsettling about the gentle summer breeze that's floating through town.
Selina, recently widowed, hopes that moving to Mount Polbearne will ease her grief, but Polly has a secret that could destroy her friend's fragile recovery. Responsibilities that Huckle thought he'd left behind are back, and Polly finds it hard to cope with his increasingly long periods of absence.
Polly sifts flour, kneads dough, and bakes bread, but nothing can calm the storm she knows is coming: Is Polly about to lose everything she loves?

"Cheery and heart-warming escapism." (Sunday Mirror)
"We love Jenny Colgan's books, but Little Beach Street Bakery is definitely one of our favourites. Utterly charming, atmospheric and brilliantly written, it will captivate you and keep you totally absorbed until the very end. We loved it! Highly recommended!" (Hot Brands, Cool Places)
A lovely heart warming story which brought a tear to my eye!
I would definitely recommend it but make sure you read the Little Street Bakery first.
"I loved every minute of it."
This story made me laugh and cry and I wish their story would carry on.
"Another great story..."
Yet another great book from Jenny Colgen. I was gripped from beginning to end. A lovely story which had me smiling one minute, and crying my eyes out the next. I cannot recommend this highly enough. I hope there will be another story soon

Nice . easy enjoyable listen. good continuation of the story from the first book
"Another cracker from Colgan"
Always an enjoyable read: loveable characters, beautiful setting description and just enough suspense to keep you reading without anything too dramatic. Greatly enhanced by reading whilst on holiday in Cornwall! :-)
"Perfect beach read"
sweet, warm, easygoing
This is a very easy access story, no real drama (I'm a phychological a thriller lover). The characters and engaging, and following their journey is pleasant. It was a perfect book to listen to while sunning on the breach. You could dip in and out of the book throughout the day.
"Can't help but like the main character."
An easy listen and a pleasant story different enough to keep your interest. Well told by the narrator.
"Great story line and characters! Loved it"
The story line and introduction of the characters and the puffin! It was well written and well read! I loved it just as much as the first one too.
Huckle was my favourite character due to how laid back he was his free spirit and he sounds like a hunk!
The way she portrays the characters is spot on and her accents make the story come to life.
Yes I wanted to listen to it all at once!!! Didn't want to stop!
Much enjoyed would recommend to any or my friends for a good chilled listen.
