Publisher's Summary
"Injury Accident, highway 80... Unit 13... "
"Unit 13 en route!"
So it begins, the race against time. You know only fragments of what you're about to see; what you'll experience is almost impossible to explain...almost!
Until now.
Witness the Wild West era of emergency medicine as seen through the eyes of Paramedic-13. In this gritty, pull-no-punches account you will live each call through the people who wrestle with death each and every day to keep the rest of us alive.
Every paramedic, firefighter, EMT, and nurse should show this to their families.
Because...none of us actually have any idea what really goes in inside the ambulance.

Arrogant and dumb
Nicholas Black...OMG an example of an arrogant and condescending arse! Also a sexist, racist, immature and cowboy (so full of crap, I wonder if he has ever been a certified EMT). If I was to read this before I became a paramedic, I would NEVER applied. To listen about how it’s fun and easy to Make fun of a ‘mate’ and scare the crap out of him because this guy is a fighter of PTSD from Vietnam War days. To make fun of people who are surviving on the skin of their pants, the homeless and the way he thinks of others is a total embarrassment.
Would I ever buy a book written by Nicholas Black again....NO WAY. If it was in print I’d burn it. He is the cowboy type of EMT that gives the others a horrid name. So very sad to have such an idiot write about 1st responders who save lives and often putting their own lives on the line. I hope anyone who is unfortunate to take time to read this, life IS WORTH MORE and you WILL NEVER GET BACK the time you’ve wasted reading this awful book.
