"A little flat"
I love the picture chosen for this book but similar to book one in the series, this one had zero passion and the love story developed literally over two dates. Don’t see that happening in real life so it was hard for me to totally get into a story where the main characters were SOOOO in love so quickly. Weak action sprinkled here and there and good narration. Not sure if I can recommend it as great work of action or romance, but it was entertaining enough.
"The Story Continues"
Usually I wouldn't buy another book by any author that leaves me hanging. However I really fell in love with these characters. So much so that I went out and bought the paperbacks. But must say I really, really, like the audio's. Specially the narrator Eric G. Dove who does a fantastic job narrating all of them. Not only do they keep one on the edge of their seat, they are so funny I laugh out loud as I picture this little town and all the town's people. Be sure to buy all of this series as it is more than worth it.
"What a waste of time"
Brooks novels are great just the presenter missed the mark
Not likely - I have enjoyed reading her books so may stick with that format. I enjoy listening to books and read lots as well however this one was the first audio book that I found painfully to continue.
May be a woman's voice
Dannie and Mo - sad considering they are some of the main characters.
The story is great and has some suspenseful moments along with bits of comic relief. However it does end on a cliffhanger and I immediately got book 3. I'm so glad I did!
I hate cliffhangers. This was so good that I'm anxiously awaiting the purchase of the next installment.
The narrator does an excellent job with the southern & Arabian accents, as well as the different voices for the characters. I loved Mo & Dani's story. The suspense was continued from book 1, along with the humor. I enjoy a book that keeps me wonder what is going to happen next and makes me laugh.
"love this series."
Eric G. Dove is a master of voices and makes an even better experience out of a great story.
Danni and Mo's story is told in Book 2. A beautiful narration once again. Enjoy all of the different voices he does. The story does have a cliffhanger but this doesn't bother me as I went straight into listening book 3.
"Dawn's Review of Risky Shot: Bluegrass BK2"
In the second book of the series, Dani comes to help Kenna deal with the mess from NY that followed her to KY. Dani has been following the guys up in NY and sending message to Kenna to warn her that they were coming for her. Dani goes to KY and shows up on Kenna's doorstep. She and Kenna are still in a lot of danger from all the guys in NY and Chad has followed them and is now crazy and trying to kill them both. Mo, the Sheik that lives on the next ranch over is a love interest for Dani while all of this is going on.
Looking forward to the next book because this one left me hanging!!!
"I hate cliffhangers!!!!!"
The book is just OK. I understand the concept of a series, but each book in the series should be able to stand alone. Ms. Brooks tried to manipulate me into purchasing another book. For that reason alone, I will not purchase another offering by Ms. Brooks.
