Publisher's Summary

Warrior queens and Roman invaders do battle in the final volume of this thrilling epic fantasy trilogy.

Caesar's soldiers have murdered, massacred and pillaged their way through Gaul and loom on the far side of the sea, ready to descend upon Britain; with them are an unstoppable legion of men twisted by dark magic.

Somehow Queen Lowa must repel the invasion, although her best general is dead and her young druid powerless. She faces impossible odds, but when the alternative is death or slavery, a warrior queen will do whatever it takes to save her people.

Every empire has its downfall.

Brilliant

I'm going to miss these people. I don't think I've enjoyed a trilogy as much as this one.

Good book _great trilogy!

So this was annoying in parts because I just couldn't stand Ragnall, and I expected more of a wowee conclusion to his story since we heard so much of him through this whole trilogy. Saying that the narration is excellent throughout and the writing and story were also very good. I've popped Gus onto my favorite author list because there are times the funny bits amidst all the bloodshed had me laughing out loud. Totally recommend this trilogy!

Brilliant Trilogy!

If you could sum up Reign of Iron in three words, what would they be?

"Absolutely loved it." The series flows easily and the characterisation is easily believed. Sad to finish the final book - as I would love to see the characters move forward - but I think this is always the reflection of a great story!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reign of Iron?

Throughout all three books, I have smiled at the expletives coming from the character, Doug - which was infective and became part of the dialogue with the other characters. One of the best fantasy stories I've read/ listened to, for a long time! (I also thought the final post-script was very funny!)

What about Sean Barrett’s performance did you like?

Brilliantly delivered and a pleasure to listen to! A real master of the art of story telling.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Sure - used any and every opportunity to listen to the story.

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to seeing what this author does next!

Fabulous series!

I am sad this is over! I feel like Dug and Spring and Lowa have been my friends over the past few weeks - and even Atlas and Chimanka, which surprises me.

Masterful job Mr Watson - I look forward to reading more of your work in the future. And an awesome job done by the narrator too.

A master tale of Excitement

Where does Reign of Iron rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book is right up there with my Star Wars novels and of course Pillars of the Earth.

What other book might you compare Reign of Iron to, and why?

Pillars of the Earth

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The battles with Caesar and his legions against foreign troops was entertaining. But Spring was also a laugh.

Any additional comments?

This is an amazing series of books and I cannot recommend them any more than I have so far.
you will NOT be disappointed.
