Tired of reporting the news but never investigating, Jane Hartley is determined to expose the truth of the Carlisle dragon hunters. While meeting with one of her sources, she spots the tall, blond dragonman she first saw three months ago back on Stonefire. When the dragonman warns her off, Jane becomes more determined than ever to find the truth before he does.
With most of the threats to his clan under control, Kai Sutherland wants to find a way to take down the Carlisle hunters for good. In the beginning of his investigation, he sees the human female his dragon wants. Putting aside his own needs, he tries to scare her away to focus on the hunters, but the female refuses to go.
As they work together to discover the hunters' secrets, the attraction between them threatens the investigation. Kai never expected to find his second chance, yet as the danger amps up, can he find a way to have her while still protecting his clan?

"Good title as is."
On the top shelf.
Matthew Lloyd Davies is a great narrator. I love the dialog between the dragon man and his dragon. With Davies talent for accents, it is wonderful.
I did, stayed up most of the night to listen.
Kai, head enforcer for the clan, is known for his stoic (let's face it crotchety) nature. He feels justified--he was refused by his true mate in his past. Now he's been assigned as "babysitter" to the reporter, Jane, who thinks she knows all and isn't inclined to take orders. And his attitude has nothing to do with her being gorgeous, curvy and makes his dragon roar.
Their story isn't an easy one, but it is fun, has danger, emotional growth and a battle between man and dragon that will make you chuckle if not laugh out loud. Don't miss this human working to help the dragons against enemies that puts her own life in danger and a dragon man that puts her heart in danger.
"Reawakening the Dragon"
I love stories about shifters but dragons are my favorite. in the 12 years since I retired I have read over 549 books. I like reading a series and this one tells the story of each couple as they meet and fall in love. I am a sucker for a happy ending. I also love when an author put some humor in the story. Matthew Davies has a great voice for reading the story.
I did not read the printed version.
The dragons voices..
Only the Stonefire British Dragons series.
Made me laugh..
I love Matthew Lloyd Davies as the narrator.. He has such a way with the dragons voices.
"Narrator is AMAZE-BALLS"
Me Donovan is a fantastic writer and her stories are wonderfully engaging, well written, and have developed story lines that veteran and novice readers will both enjoy. However, another amazing skill the author (or publisher) has is the ability to find truly wonderful narrators. The narrator of this whole series is simply wonderful and helps showcase the story. His voice is like butter. Keep him reading and I'll keep buying!!
