Not the best narration

story is nice, especially after listening to Pearl Hewitt, this is hard to get into

A Great Series

You can listen to this as a stand alone book - it’s excellent! But I would recommend you start with the first in the series. MC Beaton is such an amazing author. You absolutely feel transported back in time - great plot, a variety of characters and subplots as well as some romance. You also learn so much from each book about history and the ways of the time. I loved it!
