a feel good story
Lucy Dillon has given the listener/reader a wonderful experience in remembering the true meaning of giving without the need for receiving anything in return. I love the way she has incorporated previous characters into this story so naturally.
I am looking forward to hearing future books.

interesting characters and so well read!
loved the intersecting parallel plots. three dimensional characrers... like in real life. cant think of any other romance that deals with "sexually-acquired debt" and its affect on a marriage.

An excellent feel good story
I really enjoyed this gentle, feel good story. Yes it was predictable, but the little twists and turns through life's challenges were well portrayed through each of the main characters.
I liked the fact that none of the characters was perfect, but most came to recognise and deal with their faults.
Lucy Dillon portrayed Lord Bob in such a colourful way, he was so endearingly cheeky, that he got under one's skin. He definitely knew who was Lord of the Manor.
Lucy dealt with the aspects of grief that can be quite debilitating in a sensitive manner.
Worth a read .
I enjoyed Lucy Price-Lewis' excellent, clear, sensitive narration. She got the accents right, flowing from one to the next effortlessly, portraying the characters well, with just a couple of minor slips. The editing of the narration has been very well done. Many other books would benefit from such good editing. The story/ narration flowed seamlessly.
