From New York Times bestselling romance author Nora Roberts comes a classic tale of passion and peril....
Maggie Fitzgerald had retreated from her fast-paced life, seeking solitude to heal her tattered heart. But if landscaper Cliff Delaney's rude manner and irresistible sexuality weren't disturbing enough, now an old murder shattered her peace entirely, imperiling her life and forcing her right into the protective arms of the most irritating man alive! Delaney's night moves were enough to make even the saddest woman smile... but were they also those of a killer?

I found this book extremely hard to listen to. The narration was very monotone . I felt like someone was reading a phone book or dictionary.
Also predictable. Very disappointed
"The story was just..'eh'...1"
I am a Nora Roberts fan, but I struggled to make it through the entire book. The narrator was very, very flat. If you can get this book for 3.99 or less, I'd take it. Anything over that... don't waste your money!
"not a night tale book"
this book didn't go with the other night tale books, it was a good story but I didn't like it
I didn't care for the narrator. The love interests relationship was not what i would call healthy. I think Cliff should take some anger management classes. What gives with always agitating ? It was ok but just not up to Roberts usual well constructed characters. the plot was very original I thought. Still worth the read only maybe on your kindle.
This book was just okay. Too predictable and it just never really grabbed my interest.
In my opinion this should not be part of the night series. I expected the characters to be related in some way to the first 5 in the series and was disappointed. The story was "meh". The narrator was terrible. Very disappointing for a Nora Roberts book.
"NOT part of the night series, like implied"
Very disappointed in this one. I was expecting the Night Series to continue - and this book is completely different.
The reader has a very drab voice that does not hold your attention, so I had to keep going back to listen to parts over again.
I love Nora Roberts, but not this book.I am looking forward to the next book though.
"Great book, if you're into rape"
I'm a big fan of Nora, this was not written by Nora Roberts. It's a trumped up story illustrating the disgusting effects of Stockholm syndrome at best, passive-aggressive rape at worst.
If you're a Nora fan, do not buy this book
"ENJOYABLE BUT NOT MUCH OF A STORY"
It would probably be in the lower 50%. It was advertised as a mystery but actually a romance.
the first time they had sex. It was rather random.
She does as good job with the female voice - which is basically all it's about.
Not really, this was a predictable romance with a little mystery thrown in at the last part of the story.
"Not one of Ms. Robert's best stories"
I like the other 'night' books. This one I recall from my paperback days part way through and it was not stellar.
