At last, the much anticipated fifth book in the Enchanted, Inc. series!
To Do: Manage Magical Mayhem
Katie Chandler is back in New York and just in time to help Magic, Spells, and Illusions, Inc. with the latest crisis. A magical crime wave is sweeping the city and wizarding whiz Owen Palmer thinks the chaos-causing spells look awfully familiar - like something his arch-rival Phelan Idris would create.
When Idris' rogue firm Spellworks starts selling amulets to protect against these spells, Owen's suspicions are confirmed. While Owen and the other wizards scramble to unravel the wicked spells, it's Katie's job as the new director of marketing for MSI to fight the battle of public perception. When Katie stages a showcase for MSI's magical achievements, she doesn't realize she's playing right into a devious plot more than three decades in the making. To save the magical world, she'll have to prove who the real enemy is by digging deeper into Owen's mysterious past. If she fails, she not only stands to lose a magical war, but she could also lose the man she loves.

I'd given up on the Magic Inc. series after the 3rd book because it irritated me so much. I returned for the 4th out of desperation for something light, and found this 5th in the series the best yet. It's still silly, but this one was again set in New York, which is half the fun for me. It also has the best action yet. There's more intrigue, and the magical threat looks like something properly threatening, which it never had in the previous books. I'm actively looking forward to number 6. Getting better all the time.
Katie is back it NYC and the addiction to the series continues. Enchanted Inc. is the fifth in the series from author Shanna Swendson. This is a fun chick series that is a mystery, an adventure, and a romantic comedy which is lighthearted, magical, and fun.
There are characters you'll love and remember. The heroin, Katie, is “completely ordinary” in a universe of magic. This is a good thing.
For adults the series is “Alice in Wonderland” and “Harry Potter” all rolled into one. It is a mystical romp and a fun escape. Read and enjoy.
"Loved its quirkyness"
A lovely romp through an alt universe where magic is real. The heroine is engaging and funny. The hero is oblivious and dashing. The story line is engaging and fun. I started the first on a whim based on the cover, title and reviews. I'm glad I did. They have been quite fun. Lighthearted interactions that have kept me engaged through out. I'm looking forward to the next one.
"Perfect series. Awesome narrator"
I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this series, but from the moment I started reading I was hooked. The hilarity of each situation, and plot twist. The incredible imagination of Shanna Swendson sucks you into this hysterical world with in NYC, of unexpected fairies, and trolls, gargoyles and magical folk. You will be laughing from one book to the next, and chomping at the bit for the next book to find where the crazy leads you. A must listen. The narration is perfect also. Eva Wilhem really brings these characters to life.
"very fast listen"
love the story and characters... this one went so fast. keep it up and need more
"I love this series"
This book did not fail, it was great with a surprise ending. I really enjoyed
"laugh my but off"
I can't wait for the TV series. I vote for Jennifer lawrence and superman from smallville
"Favorite so far of the series"
Starts to bring everything together
Enjoyed the developing Owen and Katie storyline as well as the magic
Hope we are done with Idris
Shannah's writing is fabulous. She keeps the reader/listener enthralled in the storyline. Her characters come to life with wonderful personalities. Eva Whilhelm have a great Texas accent & brings the characters to life.
"Another Good One!"
In the top half for sure, and I've listened to a whole lot of them
Katy just wouldn't be the same without Eva Wilhelm
Good Story, Heroine only a little annoying at times. Good Series.
Why do these type of books always have to be performed in a jaded/sarcastic tone, even though the main character supposedly isn't?
