Fun supernatural enemies-to-lovers romance!

Kane is up before the Nest Elders to answer for his crimes. Like all magpie shifters, he’s drawn to thievery and petty crime, and his sexual manipulation, arrogant attitude, and drug taking don’t help. Raven shifter Everet is head of nest security and he agrees to be responsible for rehabilitating Kane - unfortunately for Everet, he has his work cut out for him! This enemies-to-lovers supernatural romance was a lot of fun, both characters are well-drawn, the animosity is believable and not quickly resolved. I love the world-build in this series, it really works. Like other Kim Dare books, there are elements of light BSDM but the main focus is Kane’s reformation and the changing chemistry between the MCs. It was also nice to see a lot of Reynard and Ori from the first book, Duck! UK voice actor Rod M. Maskew does a great job on the audiobook.
