My name is Lily Gilmore, and I was supposed to be getting married today. That was until I found my fiancé having sex with my sister in the church moments before I was supposed to walk down the aisle. I grew up with a father who was a womanizer and cheated on my mother every moment he had the chance. He would even stoop as low as to take me and my sister with him on his trysts when we were younger. Cheating was all I grew up with, and I vowed never to live the life my mother did. After finding my fiancé and my sister together, I moved from Seattle to Santa Monica to start a new life of independence and to focus on my passion for photography, man-free.
My name is Luke Matthews. About a year ago, I lost the love of my life, my fiancée, in a tragic car accident. There are no words that can describe how I’ve felt the past year. My life and all my dreams had died with her in the accident. I exist, and I play my guitar to try and ease the pain. My love was taken away, and I will never get that back.
What happens when the lives of two people who no longer believe in love are suddenly changed by fate?

"Too Much Sex and Not Enough Story"
Young sexually inexperienced reader without expectations for literary construct.
Not unless I spoke to her personally or received assurance that she would not use the word "grab" ever again or the phrase "there was a nock at the door." Way too much repetitious dialog!
All the sex scenes after the first leaving only illusions to the fact that the they took place if even that was necessary. Read "The Bridges of Madison County."
The only reason I finished the book was to see what happened, which was not too inspiring or fulfilling. After the first sex I fast forwarded through similar events. I am certainly not against literary sexual material if it contributes to the story and does not become the story itself.
I wish there was an epilogue it would have been great !
Otherwise I loved it !!!!!!
"No need for a second book"
I really enjoyed the first half of this story. Once they got together there was too much sex and the story started to drag out. Not sure why we are getting a second book. Their story should have wrapped up here.
I also listened to the audible version. The male narrator was horrible. Every time he need Charlie I cringed. Then he used multiple voices for Luke, made Sam and the girls sound like surfer dudes. Just not good. Wish the female narrator has narrated the entire book.
"Love Sandi Lynn"
What beautiful story , love the narrator , love everything about this story looking to by the # 2 hope their have audio
"Love Story Alert"
Great story Luke, Lilley and friends are the best. Sandi Lynn hit all the highs and Lows to create such a beautiful love story. I would love to see a book two. Thanks
male narrator's voices for characters were horrible. the story itself seemed poorly written . I found myself editing as I listened
"Great story, good narration...believeable!"
This book kept me wanting more.
Very realistic, just a regular relationship!
How they fell in love. It wasn't instant and it wasn't jumping each other. They knew it was happening and they let fate happen.
"Worst audiobook I've heard in a very long time"
Content to begin withSpeed of narrator
I'm afraid not!
So boring - narrated in slow motion it makes you fall asleep immediately! The change between a male and female voice to highlight the perspectives usually is a nice approach, failed here in my opinion.
Both main characters- one's worse than the other!
The story is boring, poor and not enticing at all. Although it sounds like it could be interesting it turns out to be very annoying. The applied language is simple to vulgar. I don't mind reading or hearing people curse at all - if it fits here and there but this book is full of the simplest language in just about any situation - in a negative way! I really tried hard, wanting to give the book a chance but finally gave up after chapter 20! The first 20 chapters could have been told in 3! If you usually enjoy a bit of variety in vocabulary - then this is the wrong book for you!
"Story line could be more robust"
There's a lot of very explicit sex in this book. It almost feels as if they added so much to flesh out the book for lack of a story line. The story itself is simplistic and dies off after about half of the book. The set up for the antagonists was great. But the solutions to the issues of the characters was much less dramatic and interesting.
"I liked this one"
I'm looking forward to the next one in this new series. The two main characters are Lily and
Luke. Both have losses in their lives but the effects on each is very different. Sandi Lynn developed the secondary characters quite well and we can see who the following books in this series could possibly be.
It's a story of new beginnings for all and how they left the past, searched for the future and how they endure the present.
I enjoyed the narrators very much.
It's worth the credit.
"Not a book"
I don't think that this was a book it was terrible
What was it about nothing
"Loved this book!"
This was my first Sandi Lynn book and I really loved it! Great read overall and will definitely be reading more from her.
I have loved previous books from the author and felt sadly let down with this book , the story line has loads of potential but I felt fell short , t
Selecting a cup of coffee over an alternative is described in far too much detail it's as if the small details have taken all of the writing
Sorry but Sandra narration is poor , Angelo slightly better
Yes it was worth a listen but won't be in my repeat list
I felt the ending is really weak it's left hanging and so much is left to the imagination don't know of there a follow up due but think its a stand a lone book
