Publisher's Summary

The king of Wall Street is brought to his knees by an ambitious bombshell.

I keep my two worlds separate. At work, I'm King of Wall Street. The heaviest hitters in Manhattan come to me to make money. They do whatever I say because I'm always right. I'm shrewd. Exacting. Some say ruthless. At home, I'm a single dad trying to keep his 14-year-old daughter a kid for as long as possible. If my daughter does what I say, somewhere there's a snowball surviving in hell. And nothing I say is ever right.

When Harper Jayne starts as a junior researcher at my firm, the barriers between my worlds begin to dissolve. She's the most infuriating woman I've ever worked with. I don't like the way she bends over the photocopier - it makes my mouth water. I hate the way she's so eager to do a good job - it makes my dick twitch. And I can't stand the way she wears her hair up exposing her long neck. It makes me want to strip her naked, bend her over my desk, and trail my tongue all over her body. If my two worlds are going to collide, Harper Jayne will have to learn that I don't just rule the boardroom. I'm in charge of the bedroom, too.

King of Wall Street is a sexy, standalone romance.

"If only all single dads were like Max!"

I know we could all listen to SebYo reading a phone book and swoon, but honestly when he's paired with Arni Arndt you just know a good book will be turned into a brilliant audiobook! And this audiobook definitely deserves all the accolades its received.
The characters are 3-dimensional, butting heads because of blurred perspective and stubbornness, while the realisation that there's something more than physical attraction brewing between them only comes through their interactions with others. And those others are great characters in their own right, woven into the story with purpose but also given enough depth to be truly memorable. The dialogue is witty and natural, translating perfectly into audio, and the story itself is really terrific. This audiobook left me feeling happy - without my teeth hurting from too much of the sugary stuff! When written this well, there's just something surprisingly feel-good about a devoted (& super sexy, high-achieving, successful businessman) single dad having his teenage daughter trying to hook him up so she can get a baby sister! Such an easy 5-star rating!!

Five stars all the way, the story was awesome. The narrator's are a great combination. Loved everything about this story, the beginning, the middle, the end and then the epilogue. One click.

"Started strong and captivating, but by the middle/end I was starting to lose interest"

I don't know if it's because I've listened to so many similar stories or what, but I just didn't love this one. I liked it, don't get me wrong, I just didn't love it. I don't know if the heroine gave in too soon so the chase ended too quickly or what, but I felt like the storyline fizzled at about midpoint and I lost interest and found myself wishing it was over. I found myself zoning out during the many sex scenes. I like story with a side of sex, this felt more like sex with a side of predictable story. The narrators saved this one for me. I could listen to them anytime. I will probably try one more book by this author as it did have potential, just an overused storyline.

"Checkmate! A Win-Win Story and Narration!"

This is the first story I've listened to by Louise Bay and it ticked off everything I love in a steamy romance. A captivating plot, well developed characters, realistic dialogue, chemistry and some very steamy sex scenes. King of Wall Street was a heart warming plot who's H/h had a funny and rocky start, but things quickly heat up as the sexual tension between them ignite. Bay did an outstanding job developing the chemistry and romance between these characters.

    Some spoilers;
Harper has inspired to work for Max King. She's followed his career and while going to college she has groomed herself to be a perfect fit for his firm. When she lands her dream job at this firm as a junior assistant, her "new career bliss" is shattered. She quickly learns King is infuriating, demanding, and critical of her work, even if he gets her heart racing.

Max King knows he's hard on Harper. He doesn't intentionally try to be harder, but he's been attracted to her from the beginning and is trying to keep their working relation professional and distance between them. Up till now, he's done a good job keeping his personal life separate from his business life. When he learns she lives in the same apartment as him, he disregards all his rules when she some comes knocking on his door to confront him about the loud noise he is making in nothing but a silk robe. Their heated kisses turn into amazing sex. They find themselves trying to balance work and their "extracurricular" activates, but things get a little complicated when his daughter starts looking towards Harper for assistance with her upcoming prom and King lands an opportunity with a client who happens to also be Harper's father.

I'll be honest, Sebastian York and Andi Arndt are one of the main reason's I took a chance on this story. These veteran narrators know how to deliver an awesome performance.

Fans of Lauren Blackely, Winter Renshaw and Meghan March would enjoy this story. It was steamy, sweet, heart-warming, and well worth a credit. I enjoyed it from start to finish and will definitely be looking for more audios by Bay.

"I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LISTEN"

Are you ready for Max King? because Harper certainly wasn't.. oh she'd researched and followed his Company with the sole purpose of landing her dream job. But the reality was that he was a jerk.. a charismatic, handsome and drool-worthy jerk who deliberately ignored her and frustratingly went out of his way to avoid her - which was infuriating because she was meant to be working for him. However, it was Max that was secretly getting hot under his collar every time he saw his new and beautiful employee because she was a distraction and constantly on his mind.. and it wasn't at all work related!

Harper was independent but had some serious Daddy issues.. in that he was a rich business tycoon who'd got her Mother pregnant, threw money at the situation rather than any of his time.. and then went on to rinse and repeat. Harper had a Trust Fund he'd set up but she never touched it - deciding that she was going to cut him from her life. But when Max King appointed her to work on a presentation to win her Father's account Harper decided to show her Father what he'd tossed away. But getting closer to Max King was going to be the best and worst thing she'd ever done because Harper learnt that he was nothing like the villain she'd pictured him to be... and everything she didn't know she wanted.

I consumed this story like a tub of Ben & Jerry's... and then savoured in the afterglow. The characters were great - especially Max who was devoted to his 14 yr old daughter, then his Sisters, the Company and nothing much else.. until Harper. Once Max and Harper had 'broken the ice' between them (in a most fevered way) - there was no stopping the sexcapades.. but underneath the sex were two lovers who didn't know what they'd found. Because rather than move forward Harper was still that wounded little girl looking to impress her long absent Father and yet deep down she felt resentment and anger - and Max was a Business Mogul who'd never stopped long enough to let love in.

Worth a credit? The dual POV storyline had heat, heart, angst, drama and heartbreak - the main and secondary characters were loveable and nice - the Hero was everything you'd want from one and the expert narration by Sebastian York and Andi Arndt hit it out of the park. So creditworthy... oh YEAH - even if this 'sex to angst to love' listen was totally implausible in the real world - I didn't care as I love to get lost in romantic fiction.

    "He is the king!"

Max King is a hot, single dad. Harper Jayne is an independent woman determined to make it without daddy's money. In college, she had her sight on working for Max King, and succeeded. They have a hate-hate relationship until there was a "Vegas" moment. There wasn't too much drama more like Harper felt like a victim due to family background. I did enjoy the humor and relationship with Max, his daughter (Amanda), and his sisters Scarlet and Violet. The sex scenes were hot especially with S York narrating. Both, SY and AA are great narrators. This is a standalone. Yes, worth the credit.

"Great Narration. Story not so much."

Well, I am in the minority here with my review. This story is sooo typical and written too many times. Sorry people but really?

Its insta lust of two people that know nothing about each other and are in love from just having sex. Yep that is the story line. No mystery, no getting to know each other. Just plain ole attraction. Over these types of books. I really struggled getting through this one. It was so boring.

As for the narration, well that was the only thing that kept me listening. Sebastian York and Andi Arndt are great. But really, I wish they would move into some different genre's of narrations. And not these typical sex books with very little ultra boring story lines. They deserve better stories to narrate. Just sayin..

    "Huge Contradictions"

While most of this book was entertaining, there was a huge contradiction in the plot line that kept distracting me from enjoying the story.

Max was unnecessarily nasty to his staff, especially the women. As a loving father and brother, it would have made more sense if Max would have treated his female employees with the same respect and consideration he showed the women in his family. I could have understood his being aloof, stern or arrogant at work but not deliberating cruel.

I was also annoyed by the stereotype of women sacrificing everything in a romantic relationship while men can have it all. Harper had just finished graduate school, starting her first job, yet she was supposedly ready to ditch all her ambitions to change diapers. Max, on the other hand, was allowed to enjoy both fatherhood and a satisfying career.

Conversely, Harper was one of the most engaging younger female characters I have encountered in a while. Harper was portrayed as assertive, intelligent, and kind with a healthy dose of self-esteem. While hurt by the estrangement from her mostly absent father, Harper did not wallow in self-pity or doubt her own worth.

Thankfully Max was both sexy and non-violent, the love scenes were intense without being demeaning or abusive. King of Wall Street was definitely one of the best Young Adult romances published this year, but possibly not as interesting to readers over 40.

"You are beautiful. He squinted as he said it. As if he couldn't quite believe it."

This book was unrealistic and as you can see above it seems as though I'm in minority with my low ratings. I really was hoping to like this book but I can not say I enjoyed this book. This book is not well written. I was bored out of my mind. Simple story, uninteresting characters, and completely non engaging. Louise Bay has written this book like a woman writing a male character and not doing a good job at it. I did not enjoy this book and so I can not recommend it.

    "Royalty on Wallstreet"

I listened to it in one sitting. It's great thing to do when you're sick. I enjoyed the sex in it but thought it would have been interesting to hear more about some of the characters. I would recommend it for middle aged people. I esp. Enjoyed the ending and thought it encouraged strong family values.

    "More Please!!!!!"
What made the experience of listening to King of Wall Street the most enjoyable?

Most definitely Sebastian York. This guy has the sexiest voice ever!! He made the character so believable. Andi Arndt also does a great job.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Max King. He was this sexy powerful and successful man but also a loving father. He could be a terror in the office, but a involved and caring dad. to his daughter. He had his priorites in order.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not just one moment, but many. Laughed a lot. Max and Harper's
    "Vegas" moments were HOT!!

    Any additional comments?

I could not put this book down. I finished it in one night. It is worth the credit, I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!

    "lovely story, would listen again"

Very nicely balanced story with a little drama and enough hot stuff to keep it interesting but not so much that it becomes dull, well balanced so many books of this genre aren't hence 5 ☆
Harper is a great lead lady and it's nice that King was just a steady guy with a teenage daughter, I loved the interplay between dad and daughter.

What made the experience of listening to King of Wall Street the most enjoyable?

The story and plot was easy to follow, especially with both of the narrator's voices.

What was one of the most memorable moments of King of Wall Street?

When Harper discovers that her boss is also her neighbour...ooh lala!!

Have you listened to any of Sebastian York and Andi Arndt ’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I've only listened to a few audio books and I liked them all.

"A true sexy office romance to get lost in."

I just loved this standalone so much. The story is beautifully written in dual POV. You know the story, two people not in the market for love, fighting the pull that they feel every time they see each other. Harper is hard headed, strong, independent and beautiful. Max is, well, what is Max? He's strong, sexy, successfully, charismatic, a fantastic father, a true family man, loyal, did I say sexy, handsome and a complete and utter God? Oh and did I say sexy as hell? I was hooked from the get-go. Light, easy, fun and flirty. A true sexy office romance to get lost in. The narrator's are perfect, got the characters nailed. Got to say, can't go wrong with Sebastian York, ever! Thank you Ms Bay.
