Reluctantly taking her best friend's place at a photo shoot, realtor Laine Parker expects to assist the photographer for the day, not drool over the volunteer model, Westin King. The Texas Ranger and real-life cowboy is hot-on-hot sexy, from the tips of his boots to the top of his Stetson. Despite her visceral reaction to the man, the last thing Laine expects is a whirlwind romance - but that's exactly what she gets.
Wes has been around the block enough to know what he wants, and he wants Laine. He wastes no time showing her how he feels but he may never get the chance to tell her. Laine has disappeared, and it will take every connection Wes has - and a little help from a mangy stray - to get her back in his arms.

"People over 30 fall in love too!"
I like it when I find a romance for people out of college. When I find one for adults in the 30's and 40's range can't resist. He is 42 and a hot cowboy, she's 37 and a professional woman. Neither has been married. They are immediately attracted. She's gone to his ranch to cover for her friend with a photo shoot. It's for a calendar and they have found that most guys are more comfortable if a woman comes with the photographer. One look at each other and they know they want to know more.
The dating is fun, no games, just getting to know each other. She's a little surprised at his idea about sex while dating. Things are going along just fine until Laine goes missing.
I enjoyed the story, the narrator and the characters. This is a series, however, each couple's story stands alone. I did get the next book in the series and with probably get more.
"good review "
Loved the story. Had trouble with bad language. I am looking forward to Cade and Beth's story.
"Cowboy & Texas Ranger , He'll Yeah!"
Lane never expected to find Wes was such a hottie when she attended that photo shoot, but they turned out perfect for each other. When Lane had an accident causing her disappearance Wes never gave up looking for her. Don't miss what happens.
How Laine and Wes interacted with each other from the beginning
Wes cause he was just so down to earth
Where they all rescued Lanie
Yes I wanted to keep listening whenever I had to stop
I love finding the ones I haven't read year on audio cause they are so freaking outstanding this way. The narrator does an amazing job of bringing to the story to life and making me feel like I'm right there with them in the story. The author is one of those that you know her stories are always going to be worth a credit
"Great Short Read"
This is another great book from what is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.
"A wonderful addition to the series!"
I enjoyed this book just as much as the others in this series. The way the story unfolds is so captivating. Can't wait for the next book. Susan Stoker has quickly become one of my favorite authors!
